Rats, I think I missed my cherry blossoms window of opportunity in Portland by a few days for this year. Well, I'm hoping to take my wife for her first ever ride on the CB this weekend, so maybe I can come up with something. Spring has very much sprung here.
As an old guy I once knew used to say "spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where the flowers is?"
Oops, I learned something! Apparently that is the Brooklyn National Anthem??

More versions of that poem than I knew. The version I was taught:
Spring is sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where dem boidies is?
The litte boid is on the wing.
Ain't that absoid?
I always thought the wing was on the little boid!
Had to test out my new rear tire, seems to roll ok.
Along the way, found a tree I've wondered about, I think it's a Magnolia
It's more impressive when chock full. I could have swung by work where there are scores of cherry blossoms happening, but then I would have had to swing by work. The Columbia Gorge has some cool wild flowers, but...too windy!
My office has Indian Hawthorn Trees lining a walkway/jogging path that meanders through our Office Complex. I took the liberty of parking my motorcycle by a few this Saturday to take this picture.
A jogger caught me in the act and marveled at the beauty of the CB1100 and the quality of workmanship. He told me he is also a motorcyclist and shared that "I have never seen a motorcycle so well constructed and so clean!"
When he left, he told me that he may need to free up some space in his garage for a new addition.

Yesterday I went out for a ride, looking for some nice April flower trees...
Typical Easter flowers : Judas tree (cercis siliquastrum), these ones have been planted a few years ago, now in a nice shape
I like the wisteria also
No more blossom chery trees in the valley, I just found a few in the middle altitude mountains surrounding Grenoble

You found them! Beautiful pictures!!
Beautiful! My CB is at Mom's till I visit in a few weeks, so you guys are getting the jump on me, keep 'em coming!
Jean-Pierre, thank you. That is beautiful. I live in the desert and we don't see scenes like that around here too often.
I've been on the couch / in bed after a medical procedure for a week...today, all better, it helps when there's some time to ride late in the afternoon.
