Ideally, it'd come with a story too (but doesn't have to). For example, this place was a local bar just a few miles up the street up until 2011. The story is that it somehow was associated with a couple of murders. Then it sold to some younger couple who had plans to renovate it. There was a building permit issue, and it's been falling apart ever since. Too bad because it was a popular joint for the old-time locals that have been here long before suburbia encroached.
Hope this qualifies ...

Interesting.
I wonder if that rope keeps people off the lawn?

It’s attached to my Honda, for days when I have trouble keeping my balance.
The Morristown Hotel is about 50 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona, USA, on highway 60. It was built in 1899 and is on the national historic register. It was a hotel before there were cars, a store and a gas station. Like me, it has seen better days. Sorry I didn't get a better shot of my bike, but this was taken from the middle of what is now a very busy highway. Better planning for the next attempt.
Good pic Nachodaddy. Bet that was really something at one time.
That is a wonderful snap and background story Nachodaddy.
This was a stop I took earlier in the year. An old farm cottage that has seen better days. These are dotted about all over Ireland, often homes or just shelters to farm workers from a good while back.
Looks like a [home] builder's opportunity Tev, maybe if it wasn't so close to the road?
Nice capture.

Beautiful photo, Tev62. Imagine the work that went into finding and placing the stones for that lovely little cottage.

nice shot. Looks like you’re riding exactly my model and same color, just one year younger. Does your ‘red’ have that golden sparkle in bright sunlight ?
Any chance you’ll ride her in continental Europe one day ?
