squeegees, towels and fans are my friends. Where I live the soil has a lot of clay in it. They dig a hole your foundation and it's like building a house in a bath tub. The ground can only absorb so much then it has to find a place to go. I've found we can handle up to 3" of rain without it coming in. This week we've already had over 7" and it's still supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow.
Bugger about the flooding, Ferret. Hope it dries out quickly.
Man, Ferret, hope you were able to get your basement pumped out!
Neat photo challenge, but wish I saw it yesterday! I rode my CB to work at the museum, and stopped at a taco truck for lunch on the way home. Actually swung past a smattering of food trucks last night at a monthly art festival in neighboring Santa Ana.
I should be able to grab something easily enough.
Can't believe this is the first entry in this month's photo challenge...maybe due to the issues we have been having
Anyway... a Taco Truck up in the next town north of me. No extra point for review because I don't do Mexican (except Taco Bell Tacos) and I did ask the lady carrying the bag away in the pic if it was any good, but it was her first time eating there but said it "looked" good. lol

I've only had one chance to ride my CB so far this month

and that was before the challenge was listed.
New job is still a time-vacuum till things settle down.
Well heck, I've never not participated in the photo challenge. Things are winding down a bit for a Friday, and I needed to run a few errands. So, hopped on the CB to take care of them. While I was out, I got on the local food truck finder app, and there was one showing not too far away.
I rode over, but the truck wasn't there. While I was stopped to check a few Slack messages, it pulled up across the street. Great timing!

How do you like the fairing?
I really like it. It gives the bike a great look. At speed, it feels about the same as it did with my previous screen, maybe with a little wider coverage. More of a "shape" up. front also kinda visually balances the back of the bike, as I always have a box of some size back there.
