OK... So this month's theme is a bit different, but it could be fun. I have seen on social media where people recreate a photo, usually from their youth, wearing similar clothes and/or taken in the same or similar location. Then they post the old picture and the new picture side-by-side.

Your challenge this month (unless everyone hates the idea) is to recreate (within normal reason) a Honda motorcycle advertisement from the past. You can use any ad you can find, but it shouldn't just be a picture of a CB750 with a plain background. I have searched the web and copied a few of the ads that I think would be fun to try to copy. Don't worry, you don't have to add the text and you don't have to go crazy trying to find period-correct outfits. Just try to come up with something that, when we look at the pictures side-by-side, we go "yeah, I see the similarity" OH..and when you post, post both your picture and the one you are mimicking. Good luck and here are a few of the ads I found...





















I can post more examples, but I'll hold off to see if there's actually any interest in this at all.

Hmm, I could probably recreate the last ad you copied (I'm sure I must have an outfit like that around here somewhere) although I'm not too sure it you will enjoy it......

LOL use2b! I can't tell which are the ads and which are your pics! That's testament to the great mods on your bike and it's a great start towards what I was looking for. However, since it's raining there, I have to ask if your pics were taken after the beginning of this month's challenge. If they were earlier, then you'll have to resubmit.

I'd love to see our pics composed with the bikes and people in the same position relative to the ad photo. Backgrounds are important, but do not need to match closely. However, I'm not using anything other than the copycat pic includes a CB1100, was taken after 8/1, and is submitted with a picture of the ad you were copying. So use2b will be first in, IF his pics were taken yesterday or today.

Definitely not going to delete them, use2b; they're too good. They'll just not count as the winner as I understand the rules.
