Just replaced the tires on my 2014 CB, when I took the rear wheel off I noticed there was no C shaped clip on the end of the axle.
My Harleys all have had a clip to prevent the axle nut from ever backing off, now I know HD's vibrate more than this CB but am I missing something here?
So I put some blue locktite on the threads and tightened the nut down, anything else?

Gonna grab those TRW MST 278 rotors for the front finally. While I'm at it ill do the front pads too.

Any suggestions? I'm not sure what kind of material the factory ones are.

1. I especially hate noisy/squeaky brakes

2. Less brake dust the better (but not as the cost of having good brakes)



I'm not that educated on all the different pros/cons to the different materials they use to make brake pads.

My pads still have plenty of life on them but I was always told to do pads with rotors

Hi folks, Just asking if with fuel injection is it possible that petrol could be entering the sump because my oil level has risen and is now above the sight glass. It was near the bottom line before and nothing as been added.

I have not started any investigations as yet as only noticed it last time I put the bike away(cold) Its on my to do list over next few days starting with taking some oil out and of course smelling for petrol.

I had this problem with a XJR1300 carb model and found the petcock wasn't closing enough and a carb float valve wasn't seating right so the sump filled with petrol when the bike was parked.
I didn't think this could happen with fuel injection ???

Well I got my Bart Factory tubeless wheel conversions back yesterday so I thought I would share a few pictures. The turnaround time was quite long but I was pleased with the end result.

The job is very nice and they offer a four year warranty on the work which I hope is a testament to the quality of the process. Yes, a little pricey compared to alternative self solutions, e.g. Outex or 3M tape solutions but I was willing to pay.

This morning I managed to nip out of work and get a couple of Bridgestone T31's fitted which were good value. I just need to get the wheels back on the bike now and use it for a commute to/from work to check them out.

Ok so went out for quick ride today, due to COVID & winter it’s been so long since I’ve been out properly. On the way back I just had to stop and soak it in for a minute. Just me and the bike in the middle of nowhere. I think some bikes are easier to connect with than others, difficult to explain, but I think the CB has that special something that is just ‘right’.

I lost power on I-495 in a traffic jam after accidentally touching the engine cutoff.
Took me about 3 min to figure it out which really felt like half an hour with heavy traffic behind me.

I've been having issues with the button. But clicking on and off and pushing it in made contact.

I've decided that I'm done having this issue. LOL

I've taken apart the button before but did not see it readily accessible to expose the contacts. I've cleaned it with contact cleaner and it helped. But the issue returned this season. Has anyone torn the button apart to clean it?

I've placed the order for a new button about $90 but before it comes I'd like to try to clean it.

2014 CB 1100 about 10k miles.

Bridgestone, one of the few suppliers of tires to fit our bikes, used to be one of the more affordable tire companies. Is it me, or has that changed significantly? I suppose providing motogp with tires has gotten the better of them in the pandemic...

Who uses physical locks to secure their beast?

There is another thread that discusses tracking technology and similar. The hope is this thread discusses only physical third-party locking hardware.

Also, when do you apply the lock? Long term storage? Overnight travel? In urban centers? Other situations? All of the above? None of the above?
