can anybody identify if this is stock or aftermarket all the bars ive seen around seats are chrome this was on my 14 when i bought it so im trying to put it back to stock




if anybody wants it maybe we can work out a trade i have the stock grab rails back on the bike now so this is now use too me id hate too throw it away, also the back holes didnt line up maybe some brackets missing idk

Now that the general motorcycle public has been made aware of the CB1100s existence and are becoming quite popular,if Honda started selling the bike here again do people think it would finally catch on?

So riding around today after the indicators/headlight fix, everything was working fine for an hour or two then at 50-60mph the bike cut out. I rolled it to a stop and tried to start it again and it started again but as soon as I revved it it died and after that the starter would turn but the engine wouldn't fire.

Also when the key is turned on I noticed the fuel pump now doesn't make the priming sound.

So I checked previous posts on here and there was info about the kill switch, so I did one of the suggested checks and I turned the key and looked for the engine check light but it doesn't come on and the fuel pump noise doesn't sound either but the starter will turn but no firing up.

I then preceded to play with the kill switch to see if I could get it to fire with it being a loose connection and I'm now at the stage where the fuel pump doesn't prime and the starter won't turn over either (and the engine check light doesn't illuminate).

Would the kill switch failing kill the connection to the fuel pump but still allow me to turn the starter? As I would have thought it would be all or nothing?

You will agree, 2020 was a special year in many ways. How special it was I started to realize when I heard a podcast the other day on the "end of all travel", published in ... two-thousand-ninetien, yes, you heard right, in 2019 before most of us could spell cOroNa or cOVid.

This pod went like this. After discussing in a number of ways why and how all travel is the exact opposite of what the travel industry promises to its customers, how you can never fulfill your travel dreams, how it's self perpetuating, and how it more resembles traveling down memory lane than anything else, ... it made a last assault on the traveler's illusions about himself: he sees himself special, special in his preparation, special in his choices, special in the way he escapes the other tourists, and special in his way of dealing with the people who serve him when he gets to his destination. No he doesn't contribute to the destruction of places and peoples lifes. Just like the average driver who, when interviewed about his own skills compared to others, says "I am certainly a better driver than the average". Of course he isn't any different at all, The average tourist ain't any different either. Because he pays a monster industry (10% of world wide GDP).

Then it occurred to me how different riding a motorcycle is from all other forms of travel, regardless of whether you ride around home, or on long trips, alone or with your buddies. And that 2019 has shown this in ways like no other year has done before. If you don't know what I mean ... go back to Cormanus' chronicles.

I could go on like this for a while, but how about this ? You tell me your view, whether you agree or not, whether you can see it my way.

I wired my GPS in last week and yesterday when I took the bike out for the first time since I noticed that none of the indicators are now working (front or back).

I checked/replaced the fuse for the indicators in the box under the seat and it's not that, I'm going to take the headlight off again and check to see I haven't dislodged a connector whilst wiring the GPS into the accessory socket in the headlight bucket but I just thought I'd ask to see if there was anything else to have a look for (would a failed relay cause all four of them to stop working?)

Definitely seems like an overall power problem being that they have all stopped.

Ughh. Looks like painted, which ruins that tank for me.

Got these via Webike Japan as I felt the OEM gearshift sloppy and lacking downwards adjustment. The Moriwaki pegs can be set in the OEM peg position (or 20 mm higher) which suits me. They are also quite reasonably priced.

Delivery took a while but otherwise went perfectly. Well packaged and no damage. Instructions were in Japanese only, but no problem thanks to thoughtful pictures and clear torque values. Fitting was straight forward. Everything lined up perfectly and all bits were there. I noted that the Moriwakis are a bit lighter than the OEM kit, but not much. The hoses to the brake slave cylinder need to be repositioned but not disconnected so no drama and very easy to do. I had it all in place in one evening, and I work slowly (annoyingly so according to my wife). Fit and finish is perfect, especially for the price.

Test ride. The foot brake works as before, i.e. fine. The gear shift now sits where I want it plus has minimal play and a shorter throw. The feel is much more distinct. The pegs, non-folding, are very grippy. As they are bare aluminium (OEM have rubber inserts) I half-expected to feel engine vibes but no. Finally I think it all looks quite good.

Verdict: All good. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. You can even get spares. So, very happy Moriwaki fan.
