They're junk! I've got one that I started modifying before I realized it was warped and the wind screen won't fit right. I'm stuck with it,out the money.

A while ago I put the DID ZVM_X chains on my bike in the silver version , they also have a gold one and just recently brought one out in black called the Raven Edition .
They are great chains and for some one whom likes to " black out" his bike it would be a great option.

Hey guys, I love the Corbin seat, its gorgeous and comfortable and everything I wanted. (Not even broken in yet) BUT the red piping on my blacked out EX stands out like a sore thumb.

My initial idea is to sell it and purchase the same seat in black from another member here. But seeing there's quite a few people trying to sell seats right now I figured it might be easier to just black out the piping.

I found an old thread on the Ducati forum on the topic. (2 Photos included).

Has anyone tried to paint the piping on other seats in the past? Did it work? Did it last? There was never a follow up on the Ducati forum where I found these photos. He used a Vinyl paint from the auto store. It seems this is popular idea for fancy cars with leather seats and piping as I saw it on the Ferrari forum also. Can't find anyone thats pulled the trigger though.

Thought about taking a sharpie to it but that's feels like a sin and it could go either way looks wise.

Recently I bought a stablemate for the CB, an 8th generation VFR. The pearl white paint hooked me and it has factory hard bags, color matched - all for an attractive price. The VFR only has 8,000mi as well. It's basically as new, like my CB.
At first I thought I might not end up riding the CB much. The fairing on the VFR is nice during these colder months, and it's so refined carving corners in this mountainous region I live in. Once on the nearby desert floor it seeks a comfortable cruising speed of 80mph. With its big tank it eats up the miles quickly. It's a Honda, so it's beautifully built and has impeccable manners.
But today was warm and I took Candy, the 2013 CB1100, out for run in the Anza Borrego desert. I found myself slowing up to 65 or less, just enjoying the scenery. At times I was running 55mph on the open road just loafing along. I had no desire to speed up. I wanted to prolong the ride.
I love the CB1100.

I bought a 2013 last November with only a few hundred miles. I'm still having fun. A couple of minor annoyances:

(1) Riding in the winter, I keep hitting that damn horn with my big fat gloves. Annoying. I'm thinking of trying to move the horn so it's slightly less prone to accidental beeps.

(2) After a couple of hours riding my butt hurts. Thinking of getting an Airhawk seat cushion. Or maybe a custom seat?

Suggestions on air hawk sizing?I tried sizing the seat but after measuring the thing a thousand times, I still can't decide which air hawk size would fit.

Alternatively, suggestions on where/how to get a quality, comfy, custom seat padding?

Suggestions on the annoying horn bumping?

here is a new fix for your bike .. it will allow you to go further without having a pit-stop.. this is a relatively new fix that I just have to share with you folks.. it's name for short is PAE .. that stands for prostate arterial embolization.. who knew !! .. the procedure is done by an IR doc.. one that does interventional radiology.. in the future, urologists will be loosing a lot of business due to this, I am sure.. the IR docs already do knee procedures.. there are plenty of you tube vids out there to look at.. I will try to send a link.. I was on meds for BPH for years, then had the rezum procedure done.. I really didn't want to go down that road again..your prostate never stops growing, so sooner or later, you will need to do something about it ..I am just in the beginning stages of making my appointment for the PAE.. I will have it done at UCLA medical center.. they say to be sure to get an IR doc that has experience with PAE.. UCLA has them .. wish me luck ..

do they work, do they do what they promise?

I have just now passed 300 miles on my RS. Admittedly not many miles since getting it on the 7th Jan, in fact, I've only been out on it five times! But with the weather and Lockdown and only being able to use it for 'essential' purposes, not bad.

Happy to report that I am really starting to 'get into' this bike. The difference between this and the NC750SD it replaced is like chalk and cheese (duh, really?). More specifically, leaving aside the obvious increase in power and its delivery, the suspension is a lot more competent, the turn in is quicker and holding the line in a corner far more assured and the general ride more refined - gives me a good deal of confidence. Not finding a reason to make any adjustments either.

Also, despite the riding position being somewhat more aggressive than the NC, I'm finding that the seat is actually more comfortable on the RS, even comparing to the NC's Shad I fitted, as my weight is now more forward rather than right on the butt and up the back - no wrist pains either, which has surprised me, nor knee issues despite having them tucked up more than on the NC.

I got the NC with DCT to help me get back my confidence riding motorbikes after a couple of offs on my first, 2013, CB by allowing me to develop my motorbiking roadcraft without also having to 'worry' about being in the right gear. Now, after about 15 months, I'm back on a geared bike and back on a CB. I almost went for a new Triumph Trident, even put a deposit down, but that didn't feel right so my new bike could only ever be another CB.

Now I'm finding riding much more rewarding, satisfying and pleasurable - it's what I learnt to ride a bike for and although DCT undoubtedly has it's place, it's just no longer with me. And being in that right gear isn't the 'worry' that, for whatever reason, I had, to start with, perceived it to be.

Yesterday's run saw a return of 51mpg (UK mpg) which I am very happy with, beats my 2013 CB which only managed 45mpg at best although it did only have 5 gears. It was a tad chilly out over some of the higher levels away from the coast and I went out with one layer too few - might was well have been wearing a string vest the amount of wind blast my leathers didn't stop. Roll on warmer days!

But, what really makes me smile when riding is the view across those dials, with the glimpse of the chrome-rimmed, round headlight and the handle bars that have an almost clip-on look to them - emotive stuff for me.
