Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the 2016 CB1100? It would be the same as the 2014 and 2015.

Just a few posts shy of the For Sale forum requirements, but this wasn't a sale/buy/trade regardless. Just a guy with no need for a part helping a guy with need of a part handled through private messages. Apologies if this skirts the rules in some way. I just wanted to call him out for being a great forum member!

I expressed dislike for how loud the Yoshimura exhaust was on my recently purchased 2014 CB1100 and that it lacked the silencer I saw mentioned in other threads. Well, cj599 stepped in and offered to give me his silencer since he never planned on using it again, so long as I cover the shipping.

It just arrived today and I am amazed at how just a small bit of metal pipe stuffed inside another bit of metal pipe can have such a dramatic reduction in decibels.

My neighbors thank you, my wife thanks you, even my dogs don't run inside the house anymore when I pull in and would no doubt thank you, if they could.

Hi everyone,

Just got a 2013 CB1100 after shopping for years and I thought I'd get started with a likely dumb question:
Do the 4 mounting knobs (that's what i think they are) under the back half of the seat unscrew? They are very tight on mine and I don't want to break anything. It looks like the should accept an allen wrench. I am trying to figure out my options for a sissy bar/luggage rack so if anyone has options they like other than making one, feel free to share that too.

On another note. DMV on NJ is so limited, this beauty has to sit in my garage for quite some time before I can even register it.

i picked up a set of hard bags off amazon i picked these because the shape of the lids match the tanki will be able to add matching stripes.http://cb1100forum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
well i was going to post photos of the install but do not remember how
i remover grab handles and turn sig. at the connectors i found connectors with pig tails at cycle gear on line so i do not cut up stock lights
i used the brackets that came with the bags they bolted on to grab handle holes at front and the whitehouse adaptor at rear. they have a dog legs that lets them clear the chain Gard i bent them out just a bit to let the bags sit level they still need to be curved a bit to fit the shape of the bag
i remover the old reflectors and used the dremal to open up one hole and used an old set of lights that look like mid 80s honda
on the right side the bag just misses the pipe, although i like the sound of the yoshi. not so found of the looks. looking at an 18in reverse cone from Cone engineering
the whitehouse adapters are a bit bendy so i get some 1X1/2 flat stock drill and tap 2 new ones now i can remove it all and find matching hardware.
just in time for my weekend with AHRMA at willow springs. i volunteer and get in to the races for free

So I just installed the Vizi-Tech Supabrake 3 and it seems to be working great so far. The bummer with having an incandescent brake light bulb though is it is much slower to cycle when flashing.

I understand that there are issues with the turn signal/running lights when swapping to LED, but would it be possible to just upgrade the brake and tail lights so I can increase the pulse intensity on the Vizi-Tech relay?

Has anyone swapped those out and if so, what did you replace it with?

Hi all,

does anybody know of any laptop bag/backpack with some kind of quick-release system so I can fix it to the bike for commuting, and take it off without much hassle?

I don't like the look of pannier or trunks. I have a rackbar, but straping the laptop everytime is not the most convenient way. Using a backpack is currently the best option in terms of time (short commute), but it's not the safest or most confortable.

Ideas?

I'm just going to drop this here and get straight to the point. I've search the forums and read many posts trying to find an answer, but not getting very far very fast.

The thing is I am getting older and dealing with the things that brings and arthritis is one of those. The clutch lever on my CB is pretty stiff and with any regular stop and go traffic pain builds on me pretty quick.

Having occasionally stopped in some dealers here or their to admire pretty shiny things, I have noticed that many bikes with cable clutch are often a much softer pull. This past weekend I took a CB650R for a test ride and it was noticeably easier to contend with than my CB1100, (2014 STD - all stock) just in case that matters. The 650R although it's very nice, it's not the ride that I really enjoy, and the bike I have is. I love my bike a lot.

I have adjusted the settings on the clutch level and it was helpful, but not really enough that I don't still wind up at times wondering if the joy that I have in riding isn't being seriously dampened by this pain, and if it could at some point become a hazard or risk. I do put myself in neutral at lights when I can, but again get me at a 4 way stop with moderate traffic and damn if that don't downright hurt.

so there's the back story. Looking at the 2020 age demographic in the poll from the main page, I would think I am probably not alone in this boat.

Here's the question. Has anyone replaced the stock clutch levers with aftermarket ones to resolve this issue, and if so which one's did you go with? Did it Help? Anything you might be able to share about this, I would really appreciate. If there is anyway for me to provide solution and keep my CB I would like to go that route. Sure there are other pretty, shiny two wheelers out there, but my cb1100 is pretty bad ass and I always get looks out riding it.

This passed weekend there was a misunderstanding and they had closed parts of the BRP by mistake. Pisgah Inn and Country Store are OPEN and 6 of my friends had a good get together at that place . All older guys and fully vaccinated , even our 83 old buddy came on his Harley Trike. What a great day this was !

Does the center stand have any optional rubber feet? Mine is bare metal, and it slides around on the pavement. Even if I lift it gently onto the stand, it still seems to slide a couple of inches before it comes to rest.
