  Ebay radiator guard rattles...
Posted by: boynton6spd_imp - 06-03-2021, 02:11 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (9)

So I put the inexpensive Brushed Aluminum Radiator Guard that says CB1100 on my bike and it rattles pretty bad over 4,000 rpm...
Anybody else have one and fixed this issue...?
If I can't, I'm going to just remove it...

  Cams, Compression, Head Work?

Anybody know of a company that sells engine components to increase our horsepower?

Before I get bashed on here, I understand the bike is not a crotch rocket and a gentleman's bike etc...I just find the performance a little underwhelming.

Helpful responses are appreciated.

  Just found a leak
Posted by: Gone in 60 - 06-02-2021, 02:43 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (20)

Well heck. Just rolled my bike into the shop at work, and one of the lights caught a glint on the right side of the engine.

Looks like there's a sweat of oil coming from this area on the sensor that goes into the crank cover on the right side. Anyone know if there's any silicone where this sensor goes into the cover? Looking at the parts fische on Revzilla, it's a pulse sensor. I'd rather not have to buy a new one.

Also, if I remove the cover, anyone know if the gasket is reusable? Thanks

Morning all, opportunity knocked and (with a heavy heart) I have decided to go all in to get a new Goldwing Bagger. I have sold my CB’s in order to (mostly) fund it. The CB is a wonderful bike and there is no negative reason behind this, it’s a case of ‘only here once’ and I want to strike it from my bucket list while I can. So serious case of sellers remorse as I type this but hopefully it will pass. I mention this because I have recommended the forum to the new owner and it’s possible he may pop up on here.

  Dunstall Fairing on an EX
Posted by: paisa_imp - 05-31-2021, 11:36 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

I've pondered the possibility of figuring out how to mount a full Dunstall-style fairing on my EX and was wondering if anyone has done something similar? Originally was inspired by a job done over in Alberta on an old Thruxton:

Thinking of using a fairing from Airtech:
