   2017 cb1100ex - radiator mesh protector for oil-cooler
Posted by: gd-cb1100ex_imp - 09-06-2021, 11:53 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (13)

Hi from Athens, Greece
I want to purchase a Yoshimura P/N 1066408 (see link below) radiator guard-mesh for the oil-cooler of my cb1100ex, YoB 2017. The fitting table goes up to and inclusive YoB 2016 for the EX and 2017 for the RS model. My qeustion is, the radiator in question has different size between the 2016 EX model (and before) with that that of the 2017 one?
Thanks for your kind advise,
Greg

The left and right crank case bolts, as indicated here with red circles.

The exhaust bolt, as indicated with a white circle.

Was a great day overall and worth the trip to go through the Museum. We went online and found group tickets to reduce the price from $20 for the wife & me to $8 for the both of us. Was definitely worth $8 to see, would say it was a pretty small museum for $20.

There were numerous HD's, BMW's and allot of vintage Dirtbikes you don't hear much about anymore, like Penton, Hodaka, Can Am, Maico, Bultaco and so forth.

You know you're getting older when you find yourself saying to your wife "I had one of those when I was in my 20's" and "I grew up riding one of those"... Undecided

As much as this is a small country with a very poor used bike market, one can still walk into a random used bike dealer and find gems like this. I seriously feel like I NEED one of these in my life [Image: 4d3a417624a4a16dfd770753cbed5d6c.jpg][Image: 57f7d745981f2f5ee13766b37e67ec7b.jpg][Image: d371b4631299faa38b0af43b9493ebc4.jpg]

Tank decal and the junk left behind
Posted by: Gordo_imp - 09-05-2021, 05:25 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (13)

I removed the tank decals off my 2013 CB1100, but I cant figure out how to get the rest of what's left behind off. There is no residue per say, it's the outline of each decal. Its doesnt look like fade, because there is a fine line of something left behind. I've tried goof off, a citrus cleaner, a blow drier and a heat gun. I'm a lil nervous putting so much heat to the tank. I ran it by my local shop and they say it would have to be professionally done. Any tips?

  Oil change - filter differences.
Posted by: Mixagon_imp - 09-04-2021, 06:36 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (41)

Did first oil change today at 501 miles.
I've been using Hi Flo filters on many bikes with no problems but today for some reason I put the new and old filters side by side and noticed a difference in the centre hole (see pictures) The removed Honda filter looks like its capped off in the centre and the Hi Flo is open.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

I checked the filter and its the correct one so used the filter and all seems well so far.

CB 1100 final edition on its way !
Posted by: franov_imp - 09-03-2021, 11:01 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (71)

https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/ne...al-edition

it's official, it comes from their official twitter!

Very curious about it, even if sadly due to emission regulations we won't see it in Europe, and I think neither in the USA..

think it will be something like a revised paint scheme, some special parts and a celebrative tag (maybe following the whitehouse trend something very Cb750 four-ish..)

  Tube type/size
Posted by: KubaGrom_imp - 09-03-2021, 09:36 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (12)

Hi guys!

I need a new tube for my CB1100EX and I have a problem with finding one in correct size (140/70R18)
All I can find is Michelin 18MG which should fit both 130/70R18 and 150/70R18 (listed on the box)
Can I assume that it will also work with my stock-size tire?

Thanks!
