Ever since I've changed my brake pads I feel like my brake lever is a bit harder than it used to be, and there is a certain buzzing sound, very faint when under pressure, regardless of how hard I press of how fast I was going, it doesn't change, it's always the same, but it's there. I am thinking I should bleed the brakes even though the fluid looks very clear. I've consulted the manual, it seems pretty straight forward, just like on any motorcycle I've ever had a pleasure of bleeding before, I just wanted to ask if anyone has done it and if there is anything specific I should pay attention to.
In the meantime I'll also swap the new pads I put in the rear because (even though I said they produce no sound and actually work) I found that after a while they've become "wooden" the work fine for low speed modulation but at anything over 20km/h, they feel non-existent and I really need to slam on them to get any feedback. I have a new set of EBC pads so they will slide in just right.
I think I'll also try and clean the pistons, something I've never done but always wanted to, if anyone has done it, also, some pointers are appreciated.

I'll make sure I do a photo story for the "how to" section.

As some of you know- our bikes have 32mm throttle bodies but neck down to 26-27 mm by inserting narrow velocity stacks deep into our TB to choke it down (sorry I forget the size exactly- been a while since I measured).

The TB themselves have a lip cast into them to accept larger ‘normal’ stacks as these same castings are used in several other bikes without the choking- meaning they have larger velocity stacks- even on much smaller bikes.

TSR has larger stacks for our bikes made that fit into the groove- but are pretty expensive.

I have had good results just by boring the ID of the stock plastic stacks- but as always, a hot rodder wants more.

Thing is- I try to be an intelligent hot rodder- and gain power without sacrifice. That is much more difficult.

To date- I have achieved 103whp and over 75wtq.

I could just get the TSR stacks to open up the breathing- would probably gain hp- but might drop a little tq.

What if I could possibly improve both?

That brings us to where we are now-




Many more expensive high end sport bikes have used dual stack for years now to have both high end flow but maintain velocity at lower revs.

Like anything else- it’s not that Honda wasn’t aware of this- they just didn’t see a need, or cost.

I’m pretty excited about this one.

In 2015 I suffered a rear end collision in which I was thrown in the air and landed on my head. My helmet (a FF Modular) was trashed and the only other damage to my gear was slight scuffing on my jacket shoulder. I got a broken collar bone in that one.
At the time I was wearing a Leatt Neck Brace, it was seriously scuffed where my helmet hit the brace. To this day I'm pretty sure that that brace prevented me from getting a broken neck and/or worse.
Since then I've been wanting to get a Helite Turtle Airbag vest to provide neck protection plus some impact protection for the body.
It's been sitting 'unavailable' in my Revzilla wish list since sometime last year. Has anyone here been able to purchase a new one lately (it's Sept 2021 now) ?

I've been looking for a new pair of gloves.

My very high end Dainese gloves (which were $$$ served me well, did their job in my accident- and zero damage to my hands.

That being said- although they are still 100% usable (just scratches across the metal knuckle plates) they had some things I thought could be improved on- namely comfort and airflow.

But- I didn't want to give up on any safety. You will be amazed at how many gloves off very little protection- or some in some areas but not others.

What I found is in many gloves- you can get a feature, or another- but try to get both and the options drop to next to nothing. And most options that have several quality features are only on full race gloves in weird colors- and meant for the track.

I've spent more than the last year looking around- and haven't been able to find a glove that met what I was looking for.

I found them- in a brand that I had dismissed earlier as being a 'fashion' brand and mistakenly thought they made all show no go stuff.

After watching countless video reviews and looking at websites all around the world- I stumbled upon the Roland Sand F luck Gloves.

As fortune would have it sometimes, I guy I know hit me up and asked me if I want a GIVI top box, and as I love freebies I said yes, and I went and picked it up. I have no experience with GIVI top boxes, I understand I need a plate to fit on a rack, and that's about it.

My question(s):

Any specific rack I should use for the CB?
Any specific rack I should use for a GIVI?

I have to say I never considered a top box, but also I don't mind it, especially this one is not too large or bulky (it's called Micro), so I'm willing to give it a shot. Any help and advice are welcome.
