I’ve some light rust patches on mudguards’ interior.
They are superficial but i want to get rid of them asap. I think I’ll clear them with sandapaper or some abrassive brush drill, then paint them with some protection product. Someone been there before? Any advice on how to proceed?

I had to laugh a lot while watching this very entertaining video. The guy is a real wizard with words. To my surprise it even features the CB1100, which makes me (and you) <almost> a hipster.

I tried looking and didn’t see anything for both wheels at the same time. I have a normal car jack and a motorcycle jack. I need to pull off the wheels, and on my CB750K, the jack can hit both frame rails and I can strap and support it to pull both wheels. Doing a tire change on the 1100 and have to bring both wheels to the shop.

The CB1100 has exhaust in the way of the other side of the frame rail. How are you guys lifting the bike and removing both wheels?

I have an interesting question and will like to have your expert opinion.
Honda part number supersession.
From experience of other OEM, usually when there is a minor change to a part ONLY the last digit of the part number changes.
I wonder whether this holds true for Honda.
Air Filter for our CB part # 17210-MEJ-981
The question is:
Can we confirm whether the previous # before the part change/upgrade is 17210-MEJ-980 or is it a complete different filter for other models?

"Sorry, didn't see you" is on another level when it's a semi dump truck who wants your lane.
Funny how quickly the brain can kick in and perform complex time/distance calculations when it has to. Truck travelling approx. 20mph slower than me, approx. four feet of shoulder, approx. 400' before I lose the shoulder...

In his defense, the driver saw me when I was at about even with the back of the truck portion of the rig, and he gave me an extra foot to work with.

I don't have any qualms with the CB's stock seat, at least not for the maximum range I ride in a day anyway. Nevertheless my legs are long, and I don't like to lower my pegs. So a little relief now and then has to come from elsewhere.
Now imagine a versatile seat ... adjustable, comfortable, very cheap, and ... not permanently installed, but just when you need it.

I did, and I found it. First test ride yesterday with great results. One more sec, before I give it away. Reading beyond this point you accept the general conditions (check-mark), and click OK, okay ? Remain open minded, at least try.

Mrs. Gone and I just returned from a driving vacation to visit the family in New Mexico. We love the little town of Madrid just outside of Santa Fe, and stopped for lunch. It's an artist community, and a bit of a tourist trap, and a big motorcycle destination on the weekends - filming a scene from the movie Wild Hogs probably helped that, and it was like the Rock Store in Malibu when we were enjoying the local cuisine last Sunday.

Watching the bikes rumble by, I spotted a few new Sportster S bikes pull up and park nearby. I hadn't seen one yet, so I took a look. They're definitely going after the Indian FTR, of which there were a few as well in the herds that were parked in front of the local bar. Overall, I think I like the Sportster a bit more on looks, though the ergos look like they'd be a bit more comfortable on the FTR.
