  My new 2017 CB1100EX. Louisiana
Posted by: sleeper_imp - 05-05-2022, 10:30 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (20)

Hi all,
I re-registered as sleeper. (really RajunCajun here.
My password somehow deleted, tried resetting it …problems. My email is old so I can’t reset.

Well, anyway I went to Florida and bought areal nice 2017 CB1100EX.
I stopped in Biloxi for 3 nights on the way back. I even have pictures. I’ve waited a LONG Tim for a bike like this. Let’s see if I can post images….
Nope, I guess newbies aren’t allowed to post pictures…

  New to me UJM
Posted by: LongRanger_imp - 05-05-2022, 07:43 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (59)

1975 CB360T. Not a bike to set the world on fire but certainly better suited for short hops around town than my previous DT100, Monkey 125, RD350, and C650GT. Plus, parts are cheap and plentiful and it’ll give me something to work on. I’m way too big for it, but who cares. The levers will be replaced with the proper RLET levers it originally came with.

Hard to believe this bike is almost 50 years old!

Looking forward to some summer riding. Mine still has the original tires on it so I figured I better get some new ones before I put some miles on it this summer.Smile

  Die Hard Battery
Posted by: Tom_imp - 05-04-2022, 08:16 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Advance AP has a Die Hard battery that is listed at 120 cold crank amps but it is not officially listed for my 2013 standard. It looks to be the exact size. If this was a car, I would say a battery is more or less a battery, but they won't take it back if doesn't work. Anyone using a Die Hard Gold AGM power sport battery? TX9 10/21. I assume 10/21 is manufacturing date.

Thanks

  No more tuning CB1100??
Posted by: gretle_2.0 - 05-03-2022, 09:33 PM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (31)

Hello everyone, I just ordered the full arrow exhaust for my CB1100 but just read here on the forums that Guhl motors is no longer tuning ecus? I was hoping to go to him afterwards but I guess that’s no longer happening. Does this mean I will need a PCV and go to another tuner to get tuned or have the restrictions taken off? Unless someone is selling a tuned ecu for a 2013 CB1100.

Much thanks

  Swapping tanks

Anyone have a comprehensive thread on swapping a 2013-2014 tank to a 2017 tank? If so, parts list with part #s needed to do the job properly? Thanks.

  Wyvern 4-in-1 Titanium
Posted by: j3gq_imp - 05-02-2022, 06:10 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (24)

Would anybody let me know if he has installed the Wyvern 4-in-1 Titanium on his CB1100, regardless of the CB/s model or year, please ?

This exhaust is over 10kg lighter than stock (for the EX), said to be compatible with the main stand, does not interfere with drain plug or filter, and looks really great. My problem ? Dealer websites show inconsistent or incomplete data (sometimes because of poor, automated translations from Japanese) and I really don't wonna spend 1700 bucks on sth which doesn't meets my needs - then ship it back and wait 6 months for my refund.

If some one had it already installed I could really need some first hand advice.

Winter Mods finished, time to ride!
Posted by: Phadreus_imp - 05-02-2022, 01:07 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (3)

Hi all,

Finished up some Winter Mods over the weekend and thought I would share. Nothing special, common mods for CB's really, but happy with how they turned out for the most part.

Swapped stock exhaust for full Delkevic system. Very happy with the system. Sounds great, looks great, relatively easy install.

Swapped stock rear fender for Samurider kit. Bought used here from PekingDuck, thanks PD! Relatively easy install as well.

Swapped stock turn signals for Bar End style signals. I've not seen anyone use them in this fashion, I like how they turned out. Low profile, clean, good visibility...and low cost.

Anyway, looking forward to getting some miles in this year.

Cheers!

New tires Continental RA3 or Pirelli Angel GT?
Posted by: gretle_2.0 - 05-01-2022, 11:19 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

Hello guys! I just got my CB1100 a couple months ago and the tires are starting to wear down and I wanted your opinion on what tires to get. I have read many other threads about this but haven't read anything about the Road Attack 3 tires on our bikes. Now I primarily ride only when its dry out so not much rain riding and I like riding the twisties most of the time so my primary look for tires is grip. I don't care if they don't last too long, I just want the best and stickiest tires for the bike. I am also thinking of going with a 160/60 rear like others have said. Let me know what you guys think.

Much thanks!
