Hello! i am a new owner of a 14 cb1100!!!!
I am wanting to make a custom exhaust that is unequal length headers (with no cat). this is mostly for sound and not too much for power (Although i really would not mind a couple extra HP) and from what i can tell if i make these headers and unplug my o2 sensor it should run okay? maybe a little rich but i wont have too many issues from what i can tell OR do i just weld a "bunghole" for the o2 sensor?

With all this in mind should i get a power commander for it at the same time to try and stabilize the a/f ratio and make it possibly smoother? i am at a loss on what to do and you a bunch of you seem to really know your stuff on here so thanks in advance!!!

With gas prices approaching $6 a gallon in some parts of the country, does that mean you will be riding your motorcycle more or less or about the same?

I know as a daily rider Im feeling the pinch. It's costing me about $4 a day now to ride as I usually use about a gallon of gas per day on my daily rides, up about a dollar a day.

I wont be cutting back on my motorcycle rides, but I will be cutting back or combining trips in our 4 wheeled vehicles, or limiting other trips out, like going out to dinner.

For some it may encourage more motorcycle riding, say to work, because their motorcycles get far better gas mileage than their cars. We saw this during the oil embargos of the early 70s, which led to a boon in motorcycle sales, when gas went up to over 50 cents a gallon lol. (with price inflation would be $3.17 a gallon today)

How are these gas prices going to affect you?

Since the start of the Covid pandemic a lot of states have seen excessive speeders and are starting to write "Super Speeder" bills.

Ohio wrote an unprecedented number of tickets for people going over 100 mph last year, although the majority of tickets written are for 10-15 mph over the posted limit. The Ohio Highway Patrol have a saying " Over 9... You're Mine ". The highest speed limit in the state is 70 mph.

Kentucky just introduced a Super Speeder bill and Ohio is considering one.

Super Speeders are considered anyone caught going 20 mph or more over the posted speed limit. Btw going 20 mph over in Ohio can also get you a Reckless Op ticket at the disgression of the LEO.

For super speeder tickets an addition $200 fine is levied on top of the regular fine. For Ohio the regular fine for 20 over is $171. Tack on super speeder status and 75 in a 55 zone will cost you nearly $400 plus court costs.

Tonight I read in Georgia super speeder status is applied to anyone going 85 mph or more on any road in the state, regardless of posted speed limit.

For those that insist they run 80 all day long, theyd better be careful where they are doing it. Could be costly.

Hello dedicated polishers of the CB1100, has anyone figured out by chance (or some sorrow research) how to remove scratches from the glass covering the spedo or rpm gauge ?

I know it ain't glass, guess it is some sort of acryl, so there might be a way to polish gashes out, without creating foggy blind spots.

Having a hellacious time trying to tighten one of the mirrors on my 2014 CB. The two adjustment nuts are totally locked and I can't loosen them. Anyone know if the larger bottom nut should be turned clockwise or counter clockwise to loosen?

Need some help regarding bleeding the front brakes on a 2017 CB1100EX. Wanted to change out the old brake fluid. Tried using the typical manual method (open bleed screw, pull brake lever, watch fluid come out bleed screw, close bleed screws, release brake lever, repeat).

The problem I encounter was:
After two or three repetitions, the lever could become stiffer (with the bleed screw open) and finally would not move. No fluid could come out the bleed screw. Seems like something in the ABS module would not let the fluid move to the caliper.

Use furniture spray to polish the tank (well I had it in my hand at the time) and when you are stuck at the traffic lights and the heat comes up from the engine you get 'summer fragrance'!

Can someone please let me know if the 2013 CB1100 has a 5 or 6 digit odometer. TIA.
