Howdy fellers...trying to find some info on the removal of these chrome caps? Seems to me that they are snapped on with some adhesive? Attempting to remove without damage. I am fixated on removing and painting black!

Any info would be helpful. I'm about to order 4 because I feel impatient and know I'll probably damage them in removal process. Thx in advance!

67 year old rider who started at age 17, so a half-century of riding.

Sat on the CB in 2013 when I saw one in an Atlanta showroom and thus began my 9 years of lusting. Time, money, distractions, other bikes, etc. circumvented me ever fulfilling my lust.

Last year my sweet wife (a former rider in her own stead, with a GSX650F), encouraged me to treat myself before they put me in the ground. Spent a LOT of time on this forum, on CL, CycleTrader, etc before finally pulling the trigger a couple of months ago and bought a 2013 with 1100 miles on it from a forum member. Took 6 weeks to transport from Orlando to the mountains of Western Colorado and it arrived today.

Bike is in beautiful shape with the exception of a couple of small tank dents that I can either live with or have pulled out, and some blueing on the pipes, easily fixed. Stock except for rear luggage rack and a miniscule Puig faring.

Rode it into town (7 miles away) and loved it. Parked for a burger at an outdoor cafe and within 3 seconds of parking had a 50'ish guy asking what year it was. He thought it was a beautifully restored 80's, and this guy not only owns bikes, but has a "garage find" 550f (1980's or so) he's restoring and it fooled him. We became friends and exchanged numbers. I love that about the bike.

Love the classic seating position and the smooth pull and torque. While my GSX650F is AS smooth and at least as quick, I don't care. Had to pass a slow-poke on the highway home with one downshift and had gobs of giddy-up.

Solid and stable on the highway. Wish it had a digital gear indicator and the turn signal switch seems really stiff and kind of "sticks". Do they all do that?

When my wife saw it, it LITERALLY (and I only use that word when it literally means literally) took her breath away. "Oh my God... that's the most beautiful bike I've ever seen!" Now she wants to get back onto her GSX.

This bike isn't the fastest, or most modern or whatever, but for me, it punches all the buttons. Classic beautiful lines and looks. Quiet, smooth power. Neutral seating. Right height. It fits me.

Too bad it took 9 years.

After recommendation by another member of our elite forum, I decided to have my spoked wheels "fixed", for use of tubeless (TL) tires.

So I rode my EX to Italy 2 weeks ago, to a company called Bart factory. They offer conversions of spoke(d) wheels, or shall I say they apply a process which seals the holes where the spokes are connected to the rim. Result : more choices in tires, more safety on the road in case of a puncture, simpler repairs (in many cases), and (slightly) longer lasting tires (as tires stay cooler).

With cost of under 200 € for both wheels, 2 weeks turn-around, 4 years of warranty, and world-wide shipping (if you prefer to send your rims), ... all I can say is this: I found a motivated crew, a perfect job done, not a scratch on my wheels. All you need is a little patience when it comes to response time to your emails. The enduro bikers keep them very busy. But it is worth it.

In my case it came with a luxury treat as I used the time in the workshop for a vacation in not so far away Tuscany.

The aftermarket has really stepped up. I was on sportsbikeshop.co.uk shopping for blinker fluid when i found this product. I was always on the fence about an electric bike but now that you can really hear it i think its finally time i went out and got one. It even enhances electron flow.

hey all. first time poster. I am considering moving to a 2014 to 2017 CB110EX or DLX. As I understand it the DLX came with ABS but did any of the EX's come with ABS? I am looking on cycle trader and have not seen any EX with ABS.

Were the DLX and EX made in the same model years? Thank you!

I couldn’t resist once I saw it. Only 1900 miles and it’s pristine. Thanks Sparky80 for pointing it out and mtneers & Amos for the old fart peer pressure. I don’t pick it up until next Saturday because I’m having the dealer install Angel GT’s and r&r the brake and clutch fluids, all 8 yrs old.

Hey there! Back in September I wrecked my 2013 CB1100. I finally got all the parts in and the bike is back on the road! It runs and rides great so far. However, my Speedo, Odometer, do not work and the ABS light is on. The cluster does a full sweep and everything else is working including tach.

As far as I can tell the ABS sensor and wheel speed sensor on the rear right of the bike are one in the same. That was undamaged in the crash, but the wheel adjustment bracket was. I had to take the axel out to replace it, but I meticulously put it back to match the other side. There is no brake drag from what I can tell, either. Everything is pointing to it being straight. I checked the connections before assembling the headlight and meter and the I found the plug where the ABS sensor terminates and it is plugged in and intact.

I was doing some reading and found that there might be a gap spec that could be the reason for the light and speedo/odo not working. But I'm not sure since it was for a different bike, and just a theory.

Everywhere says the meter is plug and play, so I'm wondering where I went wrong or if I missed something. The dealership quoted me $70 just to diagnose so I'm hoping for some ideas that I can try at home before I go that route.

Hi folks what size socket’s are required for the rear axle on a CB1100RS in order to adjust the chain? I understand a 1 1/4 AF will fit for the right hand side but what is the size for the left?
