Got to ride a 2023 Moto Guzzi V85TT today.
Rider report coming.
All the available and absolutely gorgeous V100 Mandellos I saw were sold, however, Moto Guzzi is offering demonstration rides in the coming days in my local region.

On my first ride this season, I stopped at a car detailing shop for some Owatrol, and ss I walk in through the open garage door, I am greeted by a grinning teenager with a paint gun in his hand. He pushes his mask up over his face, looks at me wearing my Halvarssons and, clearly bypassing any customer relations training he might have, happily lets me know that DUDE, IT’S SHORTS AND HAWAIIAN SHIRTS TIME NOW, NOT THAT TOM JONES STUFF.
I can’t stop thinking about that now.
Tom f-ing Jones? Why? Why? WHY?

Saw this on my newsfeed this morning. Not a fan of the Strolling Deceased, but I liked his Riding With Norman Reedus program:

My bike just came back from a service.
The bike has 6k miles.
Work was significant as apparently I needed front brake pads, airfilter along with usual oil and filter.
How many miles do people get out of their pads?
I thought 6k is early but then again I do a lot of city ride.
More frustrating is a slight vibration from the engine that wasn't there before. I thought I may be imagine it but don't think so as I can see the rear view mirrors shaking ever so slightly while idling in the traffic lights. Trying to see what could that be. Could they have used wrong oil and cause that?

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I figured I'd share here in case anyone wanted a very cheap but still decent sounding aftermarket option to some of the big(ger) names like Arrow and Delkavic out there. For $40 shipped from an Ebay seller, I figured I couldn't go wrong. See the video below for sound comparison VS stock and no muffler as well as a brief explanation on how it fits.
If you don't care to watch the video, to make this work you'll need the original hardware w/ reducers that come with the Emgo exhaust, an 1 3/4" to 1 5/8" reducer pipe, and an extra exhaust clamp. I had to special order the reducer at O'Reilly's but a local shop may have something in stock, though I didn't have any luck.
Overall I like the sound. It's not too loud below 3k RPM and won't p'o the neighbors on an early morning commute. It is very loud after that, however, but not as loud as other's seem to be. The video's don't do it justice in my opinion. It's a much bass-ier sound compared to stock.
I personally feel like it made the bike feel a little anemic but that could just be that I'm really used to quiet power VS loud power if that makes sense? I only took it out for a few miles so I'll have to have some more spirited rides to see if she really did take a hit to performance or not. Of note other than the small "backfire" in the video, you only get the standard burbles even on harder downshifts. I didn't have any issues with backfiring during riding or anything like that. I also might run this until I can save up a bit more for something actually designed for this bike.
