I had a set of heavy duty Progressive rear shocks on my old shadow 1100 that made riding 2 up much better. I'm a big guy, so they didn't hurt the solo ride in my opinion either. My question is whether anyone has fit the progressive HD 13.5" 412 series to these bikes. 412-4215c is the part number I see. I saw the Ikon shocks listed also fit the old v65 Magna, and these progressive shocks are listed for that bike, but not our CB. I really liked the 412 with HD spring on the shadow and would think they should do well on this also. Anyone? I don't have the budget for custom Ohlins or anything like that. My bike is a 2014 standard. I have a rear rack and street shield ex on the way. Next purchase will be the sw motech engine guards and some kind of passenger backrest. Sounds like I might have to get a little creative in that department.
Thanks!
Ryan

Race one a beauty. 1. Rea 2. Sykes 3. Van der Mark.
With the second race in a few hours, Rea maybe the first rider to win all the first four races in a season. He is really on top of his game. VDM also looking good despite running third. Hayden had a bad race with a mechanical DNF.
Bring on race 2.
Cheers

The CB was a great ride. Smooth power....although yes, it buzzed. That's why I tired of it. But my experience with the Suzuki recall reminds me how much better is Honda quality and owner relations (the Suzi dealer farkled up the machine in replacing the supposedly-defective camshafts).
The Wee-Strom is what it is. If I ever get it right again, it'll be a great midrange tourer. But...
I'm coming to love this Zero DS. Now, the one I bought was a 2012...the new ones are more sophisticated AND MORE EXPENSIVE. This one doesn't have nearly the torque the 2015 demo had.
But it scoots right along. I've had it up to 75...no lie. It's a little lighter than the TW; and it boogies. Well-balanced and responsive. It has regenerative braking, so I hardly need to use the brakes except in panic stops or full stops.
The lack of gears...is, in city riding, a decided plus. Long lights are not something I need fear or kill the engine for, to prevent overheating.
Range? Mine is supposed to have the bigger battery pack; but it seems, with 2000 miles on it, range is about 75 miles. Not good; but acceptable.
Charging it up...is a rush. FREE RIDING! I use the apartment-house's outdoor outlet, intended for gardeners. FREE POWER!
No gas; no oil. I don't yet know how much other maintenance costs will be. I do know that Zero Motorcycles offers only limited support on machines this "old."
But it's been fun so far. 150 miles on it.

We have had some warm Days here in western Pennsylvania but their sure is a lot of sinders on the roads. A couple good downpours and some much needed street cleaning allowed me to enjoy a short ride on my CB. I installed some new risers and brake lines to change the riding position. The work paid off. It feels a lot better.

Hi there,
I was washing my CB and, as always, looked in every corner to see any problem.
My front brake pads are very very thin and just after 8000km !!
I called my mechanic who was so surprised he asked me to show him the motorcycle.
Indeed the pads are used a lot.
It is even more shocking because at the 6000km service he said the pads were already 50% used.
Does anyone had a similar problem ?
I hear a light and uneven sound when I ride, has anyone the same light sound ?
I plan to go on a road trip next week, hope to find and fix the problem before that !
