Finally got to take the Girl out. - Swartzracer_imp - 03-12-2016 We have had some warm Days here in western Pennsylvania but their sure is a lot of sinders on the roads. A couple good downpours and some much needed street cleaning allowed me to enjoy a short ride on my CB. I installed some new risers and brake lines to change the riding position. The work paid off. It feels a lot better. RE: Finally got to take the Girl out. - Pterodactyl_imp - 03-12-2016 Wow, the risers must change the riding position for you. Glad it worked. Road cinders? Is that a volcanic rock (scoria) broken down? Is that then washed or swept off at the end of winter? Sorry to be so inquisitive but here in OZ very few of our roads get that kind of attention. In the Snowy Mountains some of the higher roads are gravelled at the beginning of winter. Cheers RE: Finally got to take the Girl out. - Swartzracer_imp - 03-12-2016 It's just gravel salt and calcium all mixed together to make sure any automobile you have will rust out in two years. RE: Finally got to take the Girl out. - widude - 03-12-2016 I was out today myself. The CB cranked right up, ran as smooth as silk. |
