Geared up and took my first ride of the year. It was probably near 50 but I miscalculated on the gloves. The grip puppies that I added for diameter pretty much cancel the heated grips.

Before I got going I stopped at Al's Bar and Grill for the daily special, Sh** on a Shingle.

Then it was off to the Sand Mountains of Sandy Neck in Barnstable. I kept to the back road twisties and was very pleased to find no traffic but then it's march on Cape Cod.

The best part is when I got home and realized that not once did I complain about the seat. It's the first long ride I have taken with the Chic trunk seat...I think we have a winner

On the verge of ordering a custom K&H seat and looking for some perspective. I'm interested in the perforated or mesh for the top but I'm having trouble finding good pictures online. Anyone have experience with these?

Opinions on perforated seats?

The CB 1100 is the 21st century version.
This was taken just outside Ft. Hunter Liggett Military Base in Central California

Did a little over 3000kms from home to PI for the WSBK weekend. Camped out eight nights on the trip with Yarrangobilly being a stop for me on two nights. It lies in the Kosciuszko National Park. In Australia we call this "high country", which will bring a smile to those who live alongside real mountains. Still, it's a nice spot.

It's harvest time for Sweet Vidalia Onions next month. Took this photo Sunday afternoon beside an onion field in Wayne County. By mid April the air will be filled with the wonderful smell of sweet onions.

2013 CB1100 New, posted on CL New Hampshire Mark at 603-524-0100 H&K Powersports Laconia NH...$7499..I think it's the same bike that's been on the showroom floor for 2 years...

I picked up this Schwinn the other day. This is probably nothing new to you guys in the States but a Schwinn is very rare over here in the UK as they were never officially imported. My bet is that it was brought over by a member of the US military working on the huge American airforce base which existed near here until recent years. This bike dates to 1956 and although it has been modified from new, I like the way it has aged. British bikes in the 50's were really boring and I think Schwinn did an amazing job in recognising what kids wanted and produced a bike which looked like a motorbike. I take old motorcycles to local rally's and festivals where there are always a good selection of American cars and this will fit right in. Happy days!
