Did a SaddleSore with my daughter
Posted by: Django - 10-08-2020, 06:12 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (10)

October 3 is a holiday in Germany. My daughter and me decided to participate in a RideNoEat (instead of Ride 2 eat) event organized by the German IBA and make it a SaddleSore (1,000 mi in 24 hours).

Meeting point was at the river Mosel near Trier, here is the official IBA Germany picture:

and this is me with my daughter and here CB1300:

We had enough fun, leaving the garage at my home at 4:30am, being in time to the official IBA picture at 2pm after approx 750 km and back home at around 2am with 1,777 km more on the clock.

Here is our track: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1...sp=sharing

Well, that might sound kinda weird to you ... Big Grin

Btw. no problems with the motorbikes, they purred like cats.

  Looks Great

I came across this and my immediate reaction was (aside from looking at places to take my new toy) boy this would be great on my CB1100! I do not know if this group already knows about it (I am sure some must, but I haven't before ), but in case, as I always have his group in the back of my mind, here it is to explore.

CB Custom - Speedo/Tach Wiring Issues
Posted by: CafeBandit_imp - 10-07-2020, 06:32 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (38)

New here, working on my first custom 2014 CB1100 "Standard" non-abs. I decided to go with a digital gauge (daytona) but im having trouble finding the right wiring diagram for my model. The one I have doesnt add up. Wrong colors, missing wires. Im just trying to tap into the existing harness but having trouble decoding the ecm and looking for anyone who has went digital or has the proper diagram and wiring description they can share. I know most on here are "traditionalists" when it comes to the CB which I respect but Im new school and dont like having matching bikes. Thanks in advance.

Single side swingarm CB750 super sport
Posted by: airenping_imp - 10-06-2020, 02:49 PM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (6)

Hello all, I am doing a build right now on a 1978 CB750 super sport. Single sided swingarm from a Honda VFR, inverted front forks from a CBR, oversized pistons to 836, CR carbs, bits from motogadget including M-unit blue, Cognito moto rear sets, tail section from Carpy's cafe, and many other fine parts from Dime City cycles and Revival cycles. Ill put up a full list of items later on.

I'm fortunate to live in the same city as arguably one of the best CBX builders in the world, whom has done countless custom CBX builds with SSSA's and agreed to do my CB750 with me.

Attached photos are rolling chassis and then some of the paint work.

  Help me choose
Posted by: the Ferret - 10-06-2020, 04:21 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (30)

Back from my recent trip to North Carolina on the FJR. There are now FOUR photographers on the Dragon, each one taking 3 to 11 pics of you as you ride past. We rode it 3 days (going in, going out, and going to the Foothills Parkway) so they took like 90 photos of us. I'd like to buy one or two photos of the FJR for my photo wall upstairs, to add to my pics from my ST 1300, my 13 CB, and my 14 dlx that were taken on the Dragon.

So, pick your favorites out my favorites of the 90 photos they took lol

  Fairings
Posted by: Sodbuster_imp - 10-06-2020, 12:12 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (3)

Been pondering a LONG time, researching and comparing fairings and your posts, finally decided that the Road Comet is the best looking (for me), and ready to 'take the plunge.' Contacted samurider & waiting for their response. I think I saw somewhere that they "build to order", that means...what?

Any advice before I place my order?

Just noticed on my trip today that chain or wheel has clanking grinding noice. At camp tonight I lined it real well but the noise continues. Thoughts?

  DLX on its way!
Posted by: LongRanger_imp - 10-05-2020, 12:56 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (35)

My DLX is off to its very excited new owner in OH. Picked up today at my home in CO by Haul Bikes, who I’ve used several times before and highly recommend! Very professional.

The driver is heading west to collect more bikes (Breckinridge, Durango, Grand Junction) before heading east and unloading the bikes at their Oklahoma City hub so they can continue to their final destination.

Service Manual for CB 1100/A/SA 2013-2016
Posted by: N4RN_imp - 10-04-2020, 10:02 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (14)

Hi,

Please find a link to the service manual for CB1100/A/SA in pdf format. Bought this on in eBay for 20$. Picture quality is just ok. The manual is a scan version - North American copy. It is difficult to get a UK or Europe version.

Hope this helps especially for those who are looking for torque details/specification of some bolts/screws !

Regards,
N4RN

  Questions...
Posted by: Bazbro_imp - 10-04-2020, 09:37 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (15)

A couple of questions...

I can only see the left half of the list of 'smilies' and cannot enlarge the frame they're in. How do I get the whole set to become visible, please?

And how do I "like" or "thumbs up" posts that I particularly enjoy? I can't see any buttons to do this.

Thanks.
