Single side swingarm CB750 super sport - airenping_imp - 10-06-2020

Hello all, I am doing a build right now on a 1978 CB750 super sport. Single sided swingarm from a Honda VFR, inverted front forks from a CBR, oversized pistons to 836, CR carbs, bits from motogadget including M-unit blue, Cognito moto rear sets, tail section from Carpy's cafe, and many other fine parts from Dime City cycles and Revival cycles. Ill put up a full list of items later on.

I'm fortunate to live in the same city as arguably one of the best CBX builders in the world, whom has done countless custom CBX builds with SSSA's and agreed to do my CB750 with me.

Attached photos are rolling chassis and then some of the paint work.

Looks like a fun project. Can't wait to see this beast's first flight.

Beautiful job. Although, I will say that having owned a 1978 CB750 super sport, I would have loved to see the old paint scheme remain. The other is also beautiful, but something stirring about that black with the orange stripes.

Love to ride the finished product with a greatly improved suspension and real brakes.

Impressive.

I too owned a black ‘78 CB750F SuperSport, when I was 18-19.

This one looks like a fun project.

Aww man....

Scrolled down- and frowned.

Yes I know. I tried very much so to retain the original scallops on the tank and extend them into the tail. But unforntally after three failed attempts to lay down the decals correctly and clear them with the satin finish I had to say enough was enough. FYI those repop decals were $120 a copy. Anyhoo, here we are. I still have an all original 77ss as well for what its worth.
