I've been wanting to do the ZRX shock swap but had a question or two.
Are the rings on the shocks the same size as the Honda's? Is it a direct fit?
How oversprung are the ZRX shocks to the CB shocks?

So, we had a pumpkin carving contest at work today to celebrate Halloween. I sent a picture of mine to my wife, and she says "Oooh, it's cute, bring it home!"

I like Triples and I like Triumphs. I'm not a racer and I'll trade high rpm power for low end torque any day. A less high-strung version of a Street Triple. Not exactly my taste appearance-wise, but it could grow on me. One of those thousands of discarded stock license plate holder/rear fenders/tail extensions would look welcome here. $7995 msrp.

Playing with different preload setting, i found that my CB1100 2013 stock seat is most comfortable when the bike's preload are set with the bottom tube of the cradle frame parallel with the road.. Previously, I set the rear slightly higher, and the stock seat kind of putting stress on my lower thigh and I thought the CB stock seats are uncomfortable and contour are weird, until recently I raise the front preload and reduce the rear, so that the bottom tube is parallel to the road. And no more stressed lower thigh. I had always considering adding a gel pad to the seat. Now it seems unnecessary. So if you are like me and felt the thigh are stressed riding on stock CB seat, can try to adjust the bike posture with the bottom frame tube parallel to the road. It seems the contour of the stock seat are design with this posture in mind. Just some personal experience.

In response to member pekingduck who posted pictures of a modified CB1100 so that 'everyone could be offended by it', herewith a rogues gallery for modified CB1100s that fail to meet with the approval of forum members.

I've seen these on Ebay- similar to a cell phone peel and stick guard.

I think the title says it all, but I'm thoroughly confused. I have read the "[url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3465]how-to" thread and all information I can find on [url=http://cdn.powersports.honda.com/documentum/MW01/08L70-MGC-AA0.pdf]Honda's site as well as a [url=http://cdn.powersports.honda.com/documentum/MW01/08L70-MGC-A40.pdf]thorough Google search, but none of these explain fitment onto the 2017 EX.

I think part of the issue is that if you go through the official Honda Powersports [url=http://shop.powersports.honda.com/p/rear-carrier-5?pp=24]website and click on the "accessory installation instructions", it actually gives you the instructions for the 08L70-MGC-AA0. Apparently, this specific part is no longer available and is subbed for the 08L70-MGC-A40 which includes some additional hardware meant to mount onto the 2014 DLX.

The problem is that I have no idea how to mount it to my bike, which has a slightly different frame from the previous bikes. I'm completely at a loss. This is where I have stopped for the moment:




The racks are the same between the AA0 and the A40, correct? It's just the supplemental "black triangles" and such spacers that are the difference?

Thanks in advance for any help! I'm usually not this befuddled by a simple job...

Edit: [url=https://www.samurider.com/?p=18457/#itemImage]The rack on samurider, although yet another part number (N40), says the same rack as fits the earlier Deluxe does fit the 2017 "standard model" as well, which I'm assuming is the EX for those of us in the States?

Edit 2: Added a couple of more photos to show where the holes do not line up and where the confusion begins. Perhaps there actually is something different about these racks? That seems unlikely, but I'm left scratching my head about how to use the hardware for the bike I have.

I have my eye on a used 2017 EX with an arrow exhaust. I’d prefer it fully stock.

How much would a used arrow exhaust be worth?

Is it an easy job to swap out back to stock?

Are there any other changes to the bike’s tuning or anything else one would do when adding or removing an aftermarket exhaust?

Would anybody have detailed pictures of components hidden under the tank of a CB1100, such as relays, cables, ECU, etc etc ?
I have (thank you N4RN !) the service manual, found the system location guides and all the rest inside, BUT in order to assess (from my armchair) whether a certain change to my electrical system is worth the effort, whether I should really go ahead buy the more or less expensive parts ...
pictures would really help.
