I just put a set of brand new 2013 wheel for sale , I know that one of them is the same as the 2014 size and think that it is the front rim but I am not 100 % certain. I think that the 2014 has a different rear axle diameter . Anyone knows ?

It's a helmet-mounted tail/brake light that uses an accelerometer to go from three different modes of LED taillight to a bright, full LED brake light. There were enough positive reviews of it on YouTube that I pulled the trigger before I left for a long business trip, and it was waiting for me when I got home yesterday.

It really works well. The thing I really like about it is that it attaches to a small mount that is 3M taped to the back of the helmet. So, you can unclick it and put it on as many other helmets as you have attached mounts. Since I swap between helmets for my daily commutes, it's as easy as moving my GoPro to another helmet. Plus, it's rechargable through a micro USB port.

It adds a bit of weight to the back of the helmet, but once I got on the road this morning for my first ride back to the office, I didn't notice it.

One more measure of safety for battling the freeways!

I made quite a few changes to my CB1100. I recently created my own rear fender out of some 18ga sheet metal, a tail light, and turn signals. It took a few tries since my previous fenders kept snagging on the rear wheel and getting destroyed after a big bump in the road. I ended up using 18ga and shortening it so it wouldn't flex while riding. I then bought an OEM rear grab bar from a 2017 and welded some tabs next to the original bolt holes so it could mount up. Finally I bought the Daytona seat to complete the look.

After that I got the front fender and headlight brackets powder-coated gloss black. I think everything turned out really well. Let me know what you think!

I'm getting near the 40,000 mile benchmark on my 2014 deluxe. I was doing some of the normal checks on the bike, in addition to the oil, filter, and cleaning some surface corrosion in those hard to get areas and when I began my drive chain inspection I could not get the slack and still keep within the "serviceable" green band. I tried more than once until common sense told me the chain was due for a change. Last Friday a new chain was installed by a local shop, and we are ready for the next 40,000 miles.

Hopefully I'll figure out how to the relocate the rear turn signal lights so as to install
saddle bags bigger than what I'm currently using and start motorcycle camping on the bike. I can't wait to go to Big Cypress now that the Florida weather is cooling off.

This morning my wife went with me to a car show just a few miles from Barber Motorsports park. They had 100's of cars, trucks, rat rods, motorcycles, police paddy wagons and command center vehicles. By far the one that was the most interesting to me was a 1972 American Motors Javelin SST police car. Per the spec board in front of the car it was capable of 161 mph. There are only 2 known to exist today.

Unless you're in Dubai or some other middle eastern country that uses Lamborghinis as police vehicles I'm not sure any other country including the US has a manufacturers police car that will go as fast as this one.

thinking about this size for a new rear tire. seems like they are bias ply instead of radial. does that matter? I see Battlax bt46 and Metzeler ME888 in this size. Any more suggestion ?

My old Nolan N104 in bright yellow was starting to show it's age and since the Nolan modular is the only one that fits my weird long oval head so I ordered the latest N100-5 from Revzilla. Wore it this morning and like it much better than the old model. A few pics of the ride included.











Arrived home to find Sparky is placing the fall decorations out.

I realized that today is exactly one year since I got my CB1100. A year and a day since I've joined the CB1100 forum. Time flew by quickly, but in retrospect many things have happened, and my bike and I have come a long way. The bike had quite a transformation, and although I've completed only 12000km I feel like I got the know the bike well, and I'm happy to say I still enjoy every minute in the saddle.

I'd like to thank everyone for their support over the past 12 months, and to say I'm happy to be here, a part of this community.

'14 CB1100 STD 5 speed

My neighbor is considering selling his bike due to rarely ever riding it and it having had a fuel leak for the past year. I looked online and found out it had a recall from BMW so I took it into the shop and had it repaired. I picked it up today and took it on a 80 mile test ride and it didn't catch on fire, so i guess they fixed the leak.

Even with road/off road tires it handled like a dream. I was amazed at how it would lean over in a corner and how the 100 hp could be used to power it out of a hairpin.
I plan on riding it some more tomorrow after I detail it and take it out for another ride.
My last BMW was a K 1100 touring model and it weighed a good 150 lbs more than this bike. He has a set of road tires that will come with it and I plan on switching those onto it if we close the deal this weekend.
