  O2 Sensor Removal Socket
Posted by: CB4ME_imp - 03-08-2014, 03:21 AM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (4)

I've been searching but can't find the link or links for the flare nut socket for removing the O2 sensor. I believe it's a 17mm socket that has been cut away so you can get to the sensor.

Can anyone help?

  MotoGP @ COTA 2014
Posted by: jodyz_imp - 03-07-2014, 12:59 PM - Forum: Motorcycling - General - Replies (4)

Anyone here planning to attend MotoGP race at COTA next month? I just got around to buying the special Honda 3-day pass ticket package which comes with special parking for Honda's and a parade lap around COTA. So, if you see a fat guy with a beard riding a CB1100, it might just be me. Wink

   Differences between countries
Posted by: newhemi_imp - 03-07-2014, 07:37 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (24)

I've noticed on the American website that either CB model offered there does not come with radial tires and the Canadian website indicates it is standard equipment. Is this another one of the differences between both countries or is this a Typo? The Canadian model has ABS brakes standard as well as those radial tires, single 4 into 1 pipe, smaller gas tank.

  Removing badges from side panels
Posted by: pechorin75_imp - 03-07-2014, 06:18 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (11)

So I'm thinking about removing the "CB1100" badges from my side panels. After a quick Photoshop job, I think I like it better that way.

Has anybody else done this? If so, any suggestions on how to best go about it?

I'm assuming that I can buy some kind of adhesive and put them back on if I change my mind...

I need a photoshop! Frame color change
Posted by: Vossero_imp - 03-07-2014, 02:47 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (15)

Im thinking of taking my frame to get painted or powder coated red and make the tank white. So...if someone could just go in and make the frame red, that would be appreciated! Bonus points if you make the tank and covers white! Cheers! Beer

It's bad timing for me so I will pass the find to you all. There is a mint condition CB1100 with 3,000 miles on it for sale at Speeds Cycle in Elkridge, MD for $6599.

  Caveat Emptor

Well I feel absolutely gutted, the machine I bought recently that I thought was a 2013 model is in fact a 2011 model. I approached the Honda importer here in NZ and was told it is perfectly legal to advertise the year of first registration or the year of manufacture on a new machine; there is no obligation to advertise both. Can`t see me ever buying or promoting another Honda product in NZ if this is their attitude.Angry

  Hella Horns
Posted by: 1100rider_imp - 03-06-2014, 05:58 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (16)

I recently purchased a set of Hella Supertone Horns to mount on my 2013 CB1100. The package came with a relay. Do I need to use this relay or just connect the horns to the stock wiring. Anyone with experience with Hella Horns?

Saw this over on Motorcycle Daily. Nice looking bike that I'm certain will be the basis for a few Cafe Racers. I like it just the way it is.

  Another CB1100 variant
Posted by: shdwghst457_imp - 03-06-2014, 02:37 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (7)

This one's well hidden in fairly recent history; I've been aware of the 83 CB1100F (as we all are I'm sure) but I've never heard of the CB1100SF (1999 - 2003) aka the X11. I think it's neat looking. Anyone here have personal experience with it? I found it looking into 'streetfighters' (I had the Ducati one as a desktop background for awhile).
