I won't pick up my new 2014 CB1100 DLX until next Saturday, but why don't we start a thread that shows a picture of the bike (and us...) on the day we picked it up (perhaps at the dealer). I know there's a few new 2014 owners this week, perhaps they can post their photos here and we can add new ones as they get delivered.
Let's give it a shot...could be fun.

Well, I didn't quite find my way off of the grid, but I have managed about 75 miles or so riding. Right now I am at my favorite snow cone place, having a cherry snow cone and nachos. The sun is reflecting nicely on the CB, had to take a couple of pic's.

Needs a bath, but that red sure looks good with the sunlight reflecting off of it.



A snow cone, nachos, sunshine, and a CB1100, it don't get much better than this.

Having waited a year to realise this was the motorbike I'd been wanting to buy since I was 8 and went for a pillion ride on a Kawasaki Z1100.

I've ridden most things since, but the CB in stock form floats my boat, and ticks all the boxes.

I am however tempted by the gorgeous modifications you chaps have done to your own bikes.

Over here in Blighty, we risk having invalid insurance if we modify the bike without consent/notification of the insurance company.

If we fail to declare any modifications, we risk being uninsured, therefore in deep poop.

If we declare the mods, all the mainstream companies shy away and refuse cover, or bump the premium up a shed load.

How does it work elsewhere in the world where you all seem to have drastic modifications to your bikes?

I have tinkered in the paste and never let it bother me, but now in my early forties and being a sensible chap I tend to check before leaping.

Finally, been sitting around since last fall, used this rainy warmish day to get them installed. I also have the trunk bag but its not on.

The deluxe version of the 2014 CB1100 gained thirty pounds. It is listed as 570+ pounds on Honda's website. Regular 2014 models are listed at 540 pounds full of fluids. Second muffler must be pretty heavy. Perhaps that includes ABS also, which is supposed to add 9 lbs.

Honda's have rarely been very light, but this is kind of porky for a naked bike. My last Speed Triple and Tuono V4 were about 475 lbs. My KTM Superduke and Foggy Monster were lighter yet. Porky or not, I like the CB1100 but I will stick with the standard 2013 CB1100 and add an Arrow slip-on.

So I'm on my way home and have to stop at the light that is literally one block away from my house, I pull up just to the left of the car in front of me like I always do so I am in clear view of the side view mirror. Well the driver for some reason decides she wants to back up, I see the reverse lights come on but before I can hit the horn she flying back at my front wheel! Luckily I had left just enough space that she barley misses me. You just can't be to careful about leaving some distance, even when stopped.

Can someone help describe what needs to come off to thread the turn signal wires out? I'm trying to install a Hepco becker C-mount which relocates the turn signals, I read the connectors are behind the battery box, but not sure how to remove black panel shown in picture to thread the wires through? Good rainy day project...maybe.

Might be leaving the forum or at least becoming more of a lurker. Needed to make room for a new FJR so had to lose the Raider and the CB. Thanks to all. This forum is one of the best.

I'm installing a PVC and auto tune sensor
Have tank up but the quick disconnect is plastic n I don't want to break it. Van see a metal ring inside. Not sure if that has to come off to get fuel line disconnected .
