My new to me 2013 requires quite a bit of hand strength to pull the clutch lever in. Everything seems to be adjusted and working great on the bike, it's just that that lever is firmer than I'd like. Is this pretty standard for this lever? Being a hydraulic clutch, are there any adjustments that can be made other than changing the reach via the dial on the lever?

I was looking to swap out clutch fluid, as it's getting darker than the brake fluid. Notice that some fluid is labeled synthetic and some is not. Any issues with mixing the two? Unless I bleed the clutch...then it probably doesn't matter.

So after reading some of the threads here when I removed the stock muffler I made sure to find the gasket (silver colored ring that was wedged in the end of the tube that meets the header) and mangled it pretty bad with some pliers trying to get it out as it wasn’t coming out easily. When I went to try to fit the Arrow around it there was no way it was going in - upon closer inspection, the stock muffler pipe is noticeably wider than the Arrow pipe. I was pretty much shredding it trying to get to fit. Now the stock gasket is unusable, but I saw many had put their Arrow on without using the stock gasket with no issue, however after trying it twice it’s still leaking air from that joint. What am I missing here? Arrow didn’t include a different gasket to use, stock one wasn’t going in, but it’s leaking without it. I’m now trying to make my own gasket with material bought at an auto parts store. Any help would be appreciated!

A friend and I went out yesterday afternoon. I was going to take the CB1100 but the Goldwing was already dusty from the day before so I took it. I was leading on a small road which eventually turned to nice gravel. Naturally my friend on his KTM 690 Enduro was elated. I pulled over here to drink and eat an apple while he fiddled with his tank bag that was trying to fall off.

I told him to take off and just wait for me when he came to an intersection.
After 1/2 mile or so the road degraded to rutted dirt as it started to wind up a mountain. Thankfully it was dry. Soon there was a "flagman ahead" sign, like why in the world would there be a flagger on this 1 1/2 lane path anyway?
Never did see any workers but soon came upon where they had graded a section then laid down about 4-6" of stone mixed in with the graded dirt. I was afraid I couldn't get going again if I stopped for a pic. It sure was squirrelly clawing up that section but thankfully after a few hundred yards they must have run out of stone so back to dirt.
The dirt road eventually turned back to gravel and a while further there was the occasional section of asphalt to show that section was once paved.
My friend was pulled over at an intersection saying we can't go right I already checked that out and you'll never make it. So we went left and thankfully after a couple miles on broken asphalt road ended up back on paved roads.
It was a perfect 65 degrees and other than about 5 miles it was a delightful ride on the Goldwing.
