I was wondering if anyone in here has, or know someone who has, done any performance mods to their cb1100 aside from an exhaust and tune. such as Cams, forced induction, etc.

For starters, I know I will get some hate for even asking this, but I'll ask that if you don't have anything constructive or insightful, please move on. I'm well aware that these are not performance-oriented bikes. I've had plenty of people tell me to just get a sport bike, so if you do share this sentiment then I'd ask you to point me in the direction of a sport bike that looks as beautiful as the cb1100 does.

I am aware that these bikes are not terribly common, at least here stateside, and there is little in the way of aftermarket mods. I have seen supercharger kits for the cb1000r, and while I don't expect to find anything similar to that for the cb1100 I would like to know what some of you all have done if anything. Honda made an amazing large displacement bike with high compression, but choaked it back and speed limited it.

So far, I am in the process of a full exhaust, intake, and tune as-well as a gearing change for more low-end pull, Thank you all in advance. I don't mean to come across as rude however the completely unwarranted hatred I get for modifying my own motorcycle that I bought to ride gets old pretty quick lol.

Could use your help with a difficult decision. I will help a friend and ride a (other man's) bike some 500miles to his home. Appears that the bike is in good shape, brakes work, in other words she is safe to ride. But - from a distance - seems the tires are worn completely worn, and probably very old. The current owner says they hold the pressure over a few days, but they have little traction. Probably looking like the tires Munro prepared himself (in the movie) before tempting fate.

So ... I feel like doing it, and staying out of (major) rain, gusty winds, puddles and of course bad roads on that trip.
Any thoughts ?

Whilst the winter weather here in the UK has found me trawling through various YouTube videos of biking holidays/adventures etc I have come across this English couple that seem to get the formula spot on!

I was extremely happy to find that they had undertaken a tour of 3-4 days that took in all my favourite local roads, in fact I only live a couple of miles from some of the route (Skipton). I can do most of these routes in a day but it was nice to see what this couple thought of my area as a fresh perspective.

This couple seem to be very well travelled throughtout the world and what I find very interesting is that they make these videos from a couple's point of view which to me is very important as I seem to be one of the 2% of motorcyclists who ride 100% with a partner.
Also the fact that their routes are shown and historical points of interest are mentioned without being too heavy on dialogue.

The difference I find with most other video travelogues is that it is either a huge group of males or a solo traveller's perspective and accommodation is generally then pretty basic. A view my beloved does not want to experience. My wife deserves her comforts and luxuries which generally means 4* hotels and nice restaurants.

I also like this video of his solo trip up the Dalton Highway (over 10 years ago) as part of his Alaska to Argentina trip. His comment that his video skills have greatly improved since this trip is plain to see. Well worth a view.

For turning over 15k, I decided to ask a friend of mine to get the bike photo ready. Got a polish for the paint, panels, and chrome, as well as got a 3 year ceramic coating applied to the tank.

Here's to another 30k!

I have an issue trying to get my size 12W shoe under the shift lever. The lever is short and angled downward somewhat. I typically perform upshifts with the side of my shoe pressed against the edge of the rubber boot on the lever. Is the shift lever adjustable? Is there a longer aftermarket lever available? Moving it up 1/2" would make a huge difference. Will be removing the lever soon anyway to be able to bleed clutch fluid.

What does one do when one cannot turn the bolt that fastens the front sprocket in place? Ive tried impact wrenches, cheater bars, nearly broken a socket.....what am i supposed to do?

This is actually the second time ive changed a front sprocket. It was hard but it moved the first time. This time its like its welded on.
