Hey guys brand new to this forum. I have a 2013 cb1100 when I bought the bike it had a full exhaust on it, and a power commander. I have since put a k&n filter on it and am trying to get maps for it. The one that was on the bike seems like its added a decent bit a fuel, any help would be appreciated

After 6 years the original battery died. I unplugged the tender, rolled the bike out of it's nest, turned the key on and when I hit the kill switch to on....dead. I checked the battery with a VOM...10.80 V with everything off, but when I turn the bike on it drops to 0.5 V.
I have a new one on the way and it should be here sometime this week.

Hey guys , had my first tow home today in my 20 years of riding , but it was my Enfield not the Honda hehe !

Was downshifting approaching a light when I lost all power , like I hit the kill switch etc . Pushed bike off of the Main Street , checked the usuals like main fuse , battery etc. everything was ok , did as much as I could then decided to call AMA for tow . Storms were rolling in so I wanted to get back to home base and figure it out there . Anyway , started pulling things apart , found a wiring harness connector that delivers the juice unplugged ! It’s located in the headlight bucket . Not sure how it happened but it was that simple , thought I’d share my fun for the day !

Can somebody get me a few pictures of the RS turn signals? Does anybody see an issue with these working on a 2014 Standard,I really like these but the $600 price tag for all the parts is a little steep but might bite the bullet and buy them.

Hi all. My bike stalled in traffic recently, the dealer replaced the fuel relay. Now it has been intermittently deciding to start. Sometimes when I turn the key, it all cycles and pressurized, other times, not a peep from the fuel pump. Any ideas? I have the telephone book size manual for the bike but I’m really hoping to not have to take apart the tank and pump. I’m only at 12500 miles

Thinking about adding a liter sport bike to the stable next year. So I thought I would see what the thoughts are relative to the current crop. I am considering bikes such as CBR1000RR, R1, Super Duke, S1000RR, etc. in the under $20K range. I would like to hear your thoughts on ergonomics, even though I know they are all relatively uncomfortable, reliability, handling, dealer support, value (the total package including suspension, quick shifter, etc.), and stuff like that.

Ok, I know there is probably little interest in this thread, but there has to be others who has a spouse like I do that dragged you into a hearing aid store. What we get: "I'm tired of repeating myself!" "You didn't hear a word I said, did you?" As they say, "Once you walk into a hearing aid store, you are going to walk out with a hearing aid(s) order".
Now here I am with these new high tech. blue-tooth, app-controlled gizmos that cost as much as a new leftover CB1100E. I can't see the point of wearing these things while riding. With the hearing aids case provided, riding in a rainstorm could ruin them.

I found these cases listed on eBay and Amazon.

I was about to start my 2014 CB this past week and when I turned the key, it just spun / turned freely in the cylinder with no resistance. I cautiously turned it back, took it out, tried again and it worked.

Has anyone else had this happen? Wondering if I need to have the key cylinder replaced?

So, my 2017 CB1100 EX has a new garage mate. I just traded in my 2016 Yamaha XSR900 for this thing...

Very Jekyll and Hyde bike, this Z900 ABS. Puttering around town, keeping it below 5K RPM, she's not only smoother than the XSR, she's smoother than the CB1100. Similar to the CB, however, albeit at a higher RPM, the Z then becomes a bit buzzy in her upper midrange. In fact, she becomes buzzier than either the CB or the Yamaha once she's in the 5,500-8K RPM range. Again similar to the CB, once she clears her buzzy patch in the midrange, she smooths right out again.

I've only managed an initial two hundred and fifty miles on her so far, with one Mosquito Ridge rip, but I haven't redlined her yet. I've zipped her up to about 9K, very briefly. I'm trying to do a decent break-in procedure, mainly avoiding freeway droning.

The overriding impression so far is one of polished refinement. Surprisingly so, really, as Kawi was never known for Honda-like attention to detail, but everything I'd read about this bike mentioned how smooth and refined it is, and those people were correct. All its systems are very Honda-like in their operation; much more so than the rawer Yamaha.

I prefer that type of refinement. I like for the clutch engagement, fuel delivery, and throttle response to be basically invisible, as they are on the big CB1100, and this little Kawi manages it quite convincingly.

Another similarity between the Z900 and most Hondas I've owned and ridden is that this Kawi hides its weight very well. Although it's a good forty pounds heavier than the Yamaha, one would never know it from the saddle. It turns more quickly and easily, and the handling is lighter everywhere. Part of this is due to the much lower seat height and sportier bars. The handling is significantly sportier, yet also much more user-friendly at parking-lot speeds. That's one area where the Z really outshines the Yamaha, along with its plusher suspension. The Kawi is much more confidence-inspiring, and much happier simply putzing around at city speeds. She doesn't seem angry and impatient when forced to go stoplight to stoplight at slow speeds. She seems perfectly content to be used as a city commuter.

Very CB-like, that.

She's just a bit different from the CB, however, once you grab some throttle...or stick her in front of a mirror.
