What was it MTC or Ferret, not a stop sign in an entire county?

What year was this? 2016?

Rather than rewrite it, here's a copy and paste I sent a good riding buddy after I got home today after a short 90 mile ride ...... You have to know, I totally disliked this bike when I first brought her home. We've now at 7500 miles and have made a lot of progress!

I started to clean up the Honda today, but checked the chain for proper play, and one more thing I should have tried months ago. I threw a towel over the fuel tank, then loosened the bar clamps, and rotated them toward me so the switches cleared the tank by only 1/2" on right and left lock. Then decided to ride to Burton via my back roads. I was stunned with the results. I could handle the bike better, and the position was much more comfortable for me. Maybe yesterday was simply a bad day for me, because today, the ride couldn't have been better. I think the upcoming fork oil change (heavier as recommended by Race Tech) will do the trick to eliminate the slightly fluttery feel of the front end over ripply pavement.

That little bike surprises me with its punch. I normally shift out of 1st around 4000 rpm, then go thru the remaining gears at about 3500 - 4000rpm, or lower. Actually 4000 in 6th is well over the speed limit. Today I thought I'd shift out of 1st at 4500, let the bike settle into 2nd on steady throttle, then roll on the throttle. That little sob is damned quick! Not sport bike quick, but I'm certain it'd leave my Guzzi 1200 Sport in the dust.

I actually rode Diagonal Road on my way home, and though it is really beat up, the CB did just fine after all our fork work, and the installation of the Ikon shocks. I think the saddle is about all that's in the way of this bike being a good all around ride for me.

Made it home just as a few drops of rain hit my visor.

Hi all. While taking my engine out, a Honda dealer gouged up my frame big time.

I’d like to make them fix it right, such as sending the frame out. But I don’t want to lose my bike all summer. It’s my baby and the only modern bike I enjoy. Plus I don’t really trust them to reassemble it and torque everything properly.

As much as it sucks, they want to just prep and paint the affected areas. I’m thinking if it’s not to my satisfaction afterwards that I will take it to small claims court. What are your thoughts?

Other than the pink slip where can I find the engine number on the engine? My bike is salvage and I have to bring it to CHP to bring it back on the road and they have to verify the engine number on the engine :/

Revzilla now sells OEM Honda parts. It'll be interesting to see how their prices compare to the other established on-line retailers.

These people were nice to post both printable tank bag map PDFs and the Gpx files for Nav Units.

It's 6 hours from me, but might make a nice 2-3 day trip worth it!

I believe I've read on this forum that the saddle from a Deluxe model will fit my 2014 Black Standard bike. If so:
1. is the saddle shaped differently than the standard one, so that it offers more support under riders' thighs? Even though the saddle on my bike looks 'level' when viewed in profile, I always feel like I'm leaning forward.

I know this is subjective, but have any here swapped the std for the dx saddle?

Been riding sport bikes for 25yrs now. Current is a VFR1200 that I bought new in 2010.
Rode a 71’ CB750 in college a long time ago. Always loved the look and feel of it. Drooled over the CB1100 when I’d go to the dealer for things.
Been craving the fun I used to have on the CB750 for a while now, so I’m going to pull the trigger on a used 2014 with 2000 miles in mint condition on Saturday. It comes with a detachable windscreen.
Is there anything I need to know? What to look for?
I live in Tucson where it’s hot as hell. What’s life going to be like with a air-cooled engine?
Would like an engine guard? Any opinions on those?
