friends; I have installed a Honda Official Dealer in Spain; the cuffs Reference: H08ETBMGCHGA that came from Belgium. they have 3 levels and work very well except that the dashboard icon is NOT activated; which when turning on the machine; if it comes out in the checkup. I have seen the assembly PDF and there is a connection to the bike's ECU; for which I detect that it is a programming error of the ECU. Given its cost (€ 600) I want to demand that Honda Central Japan correct it; since they are not a € 99 OXFORD. Please help me to know the email of Honda Tech Customer Japan; although today I'm going to call Honda Spain; to my concession and if it is necessary to God ... or perhaps they have made a mistake in sending the reference. My Africa Twin Adventure Sports dct 2018, they worked correctly (they were standard) but my Forza 300 from 2019 were installed here in my city and if the icon was visible.

Three years ago or so, the ferret had a great tip on a nylon wallet that took me from a George Kastansa way of life and turned it into a magical world of a Tardis like thing that somehow takes inches worth of stuff and turns it into millimeters.

I searched the threads here and couldn't find reference to it. My revered version of this wallet is getting a bit long in the tooth after a few years and is starting to thread. Unfortunately, there isn't any markings on the thing to clue me in to where to replace it.

Does anybody have any hints or directions (or even memories) of the thing?

any idea where to buy a discreet and beautiful passenger backrest? I don't want to pack a suitcase .. it's a sin.

Today I received the latest issue of Roadracing World and Motorcycle Technology and saw an ad for Antigravity Batteries ( Lithium ones )
Up to just a even a few months ago I always replaced my CB 1100 batteries with the Yuasa OEM batteries with no complaints at all , I replace them every 4 years .
Does any one use the above mentioned batterie and have any comments on them ?
The lower weight seems to be nice and my bikes are always stored in a minimum of 50 degree F garage. I know that there are many Lithium batteries but which one are the best for our bikes.

When designers calculate the weight limitation printed in the user manual, there are many considerations. Capacity of the brakes and suspension, stability, CoG, etc. And last not least certification requirements of that bike in this country. They won't tell you why, it is what it is.

When the biker considers weight limitations - I bet few of us spend much time on it - he does not run a lot of extra risk compared to the risk of being out on the street on a bike. Our 1100 is not a fragile, overpowered stallion with bad brakes. 5% overweight on seat or rack won't break the frame, or the luggage rack, bend the wheels, create much hazard to transversal stability, or extend your braking distance significantly. Nor will 5 pounds extra on the back rack, behind the seat, make the CB1100 jolt into a wheely at each other traffic light. So what then is the concern ?

Here is my question. Have you had any bad experiences with your bike heavily loaded up ? did the rack attachment bolts bend ? did she feel too light on the front wheel ? Anything else ? Your answers may help us get a feeling for the subject. And as always ... a reasonable guess is always better than no data at all.

Hey guys, been a while since I’ve been on here as I just picked up a Suzuki dr-Z400SM as a project before I dive into my goldwing project.
Is there anyway to remove the governor or even tone it down to max speeds of 80? I’m sure it’s a silly question, like why do that.. I have my reasons.
I’m guessing it’s all computerized and I’d have to send it into a shop to get it retuned or something.

At 50K miles, decided its time to clean up a few chrome and paint finishing wear stuff on my CB1100. Bought some used alum fork tubes off craigslist last night ($40) to experiment with. Looked at many how-to sites but decide to follow RestoCycle LLC approach. Steps:
1. Strip clearcoat finish with paint stripper (took 3 times to get 99% off).
2. Wash with soap/water. Dry.
3. Spray with WD-40 use Scotch Brite Hand Pads Red 7447 (320 grit) in shoe shine motion all around tube. Never slide pad down, always pickup of tube to move down tube. This took me about 30 minutes.
4. Wash with soap/water. Dry.
5. Spray with WD-40 use Scotch Brite Hand Pads Grey 7448 (800 grit) in shoe shine motion all around tube. Never slide pad down, always pickup of tube to move down tube. This took me about 30 minutes.
5. Wash with soap/water. Dry.
6. Wipe with acetone (slightly damp towel only).
7. Clamp upright. Spray w/ first coat of clear coat.
8. Per clear coat instructions, wait 30 minutes, do 2nd coat, wait 10 minutes, do final coat.

Turned out pretty good. Will use this approach to do it for real on my CB1100, but will probably use a 2x Clear Coat vs the 1x Clear Coat I used because the 2x is supposed to be better.

Finally had a confirmed sighting in the wild and got to talk to the owner!

I was leading my Meetup ride today and we decided to stop at a local dealer, Montgomeryville Cycle Center. One of our riders rides a BMW that leaks antifreeze and wanted to top it off. So we’re outside talking and what pulls up right in front of us but a 14 standard. The guy gets off and starts walking in never even taking off his helmet as I say “Hey, nice bike!”. He never breaks stride so I figure ok, he doesn’t want to talk. A little while later another guy comes out and asks me “You like the bike?”. Turns out he was the owner and the other guy was a mechanic who had just test rode it. We got to chat for a few minutes and I told him about the forum so hopefully we’ll see him here. Very nice guy.

But as I’m leaving the head mechanic Dan comes out and tells me they’re still selling leftovers, had just sold one the other day. He said that Honda still has them warehoused and every once in a while they are able to get some at a price that works for them!

And because I know what PB would say..

I'm going to change front suspension oil on Monday; the CB1100 ex 2015; with 23600 km it is 5 years old; and I doubt it was changed every 2 years which is recommended. the rear shock absorbers; in a while I will put OHLINS ... since I do not see another brand that does not break the aesthetics of the CB (how ugly the yellow ones are ...) and guarantee.
