  Want to buy CB1100ex
Posted by: alextexan_imp - 01-09-2021, 04:39 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (29)

Hello Guys,

Is there any source that I can buy a brand new or preowned very low miles and excellent condition 2017 CB1100EX?

Or imported from UK or Japan? But it seems the bike must 25 years old to import to US.

Thank you guys.

Alex

  valve stem replacement without removing tyre
Posted by: max - 01-08-2021, 05:08 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (5)

Whilst buying 90 degree valves for the cb919 i looked at some video's on how to install them, i then found this valve stem that you can replace without removing the tire.
Never seen this before and thought it may be something small for the rider to carry with the bike for the traveler that already has everything he needs;

Valve failures are rare but there may be a place for something like this, anyway now we know it exists: quickstem;

  NGK LMAR8A-9 vs -9S
Posted by: bflint - 01-07-2021, 04:45 PM - Forum: Mechanical & Technical - Replies (12)

Noticed that mechanics have historically used NGK LMAR8A-9 spark plugs on my 2014 CB1100DX. Noticed that the spec says to use NGK LMAR8A-9S for Honda's. Asked ngk.com (aka sparkplugs.com) vendor about this ... their answer: "The only difference is the the "S" on part number 6817 LMAR8A-9S stands for special gasket. Usually the means the gasket is made of stainless steel. The NGK-4313 LMAR8A-9 plugs just have the standard plated steel gasket." FYI, the two models are both $6.54ea from this vendor. Anyway, I bought the 9S model.

  Looking for a bolt size

Anybody happen to know the size of the lower pinch bolt on the fork triple clamp? I know it's 10 by 35 but are the threads 1.5 or 1.25?

Delivered this morning!! Just a little bit stoked right now. Even though it currently illegal to leave one's house except to go shopping, collect medication or go to work if you cannot work from home.

Nothing to stop me there then!

  replace my KLR650
Posted by: pdedse - 01-06-2021, 11:58 AM - Forum: Other Bikes - Replies (9)

Honda just announced that [url=https://powersports.honda.com/street/dual-sport/crf300l-crf250l]2021 CRF300L and 2021 CRF300L RALLY will make it to the shores of the U.S. I prefer the non-Rally version. W/out ABS $5250.

Not quite yet, but this could be the bike that replaces my '07 KLR650.

Does anyone here post videos on YouTube about their bike? It's hard to come by CB1100 content on YouTube. Feel free to shoutout your channel or someone else you like to watch.

  Brake lever guard for track days
Posted by: mrded_imp - 01-05-2021, 11:38 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (17)

Hello, can you recommend not alien looking lever guards for cb1100?

Most of them look too sharp/bright designed for sport bikes. I’m looking for something almost invisible and matching my RLETs.

It’s a requirement for track days, so I have to install them. Thanks.
