I am looking at this tank-

But I noticed in this video it says ABS by the gas cap-

It looks like that is painted on? So I can't remove it?
Just found another video-

Ughh. Looks like painted, which ruins that tank for me.

Morning powerdubs. New bikes over here often come with a variety of ugly stickers on the tank, it’s one of my first jobs to borrow my wife’s hair dryer to warm them up and soften the glue, then I use a store card/ old credit card to winkle them off easy without leaving any marks. My EX is the later model so didn’t have that exact ABS sticker however I cannot imagine it won’t be the same. I’m sure someone will be able to confirm either way for you.

I poured hot water on mine and peeled it off. Didn't leave any witness marks so you should be fine!

That makes sense - thanks A.D. They generally go on hot 'n' wet and smoothed on.

It is definitely painted under the clearcoat- watch the 2nd video I posted and as the camera moves around you can tell by the reflections.

I have the same ABS sticker on my 2015 tank and it is a sticker which I could peel off if I wanted to, its not under the clear coat.
