Its been a long time. Cong-rads Forum on your 8th year. How are you Bill and Mickey. Ran out of tee's today and put on my 2015 Rally tee short. Although i did not attend I still have two. Brought me here to post.

I hope this post finds all members in good health in these crazy times.

Things have been good, 3 grandchildren since I last posted.

I was running my 07 C6 Corvette ( Red of course )up the on ramp the other day. I still remember running my CB on that ramp balls out, miss those days. Funny, 86 hp vs 400hp and they both run 12.5 1/4's but I think the CB would get it 0-60.



CB is long gone but not forgotten.

Came back from a ride today. Parked the bike.

Walked around the back of it and noticed one of the rear blinkers had lost its lens during the ride.

This is probably the 3rd lens I’ve lost…and I don’t have many miles on the bike.

I know they only have a small little tab that secures them- and it snaps there- but these lens are used on other Honda bikes for a long loong time.

Anyone else having this problem?

What gives?

I think I’m going to glob some epoxy in the next one to ‘brace’ the tab.

Well, motorcycle commuting has finally paid me the best benefit possible. Reduced commute times, better fuel economy and retention of sanity from not sitting in traffic? Happy wife because I don't want to throw something when I get home from work? A clear mind? The ability to park indoors, in my shop, away from the ravages of the homeless who hove around our back alley?

Yeah, all of those things are fine, I guess.

But, for years, I have been working in a semi-private work area in my office, when I'm not in the shop out back. I have a partition, and when I change into and out of my riding gear, I'm not fully exposing myself to others in the office. But, I haven't been too careful about it. Heck, you work with people for almost 20 years, they're gonna see something from time to time.

I didn't realize how much of an issue this apparently was...

The boss man decided to work from home from now on. So, my coworkers got together and collectively decided that I should get his private office, so that I can shut the door and change in private.

I just finished outfitting it to my needs. I've got room for a changing couch, a cabinet to hold my gear, and a helmet table. There's a TV to watch important industry news (or cartoons).

Still more floor space. If a project bike can fit through the door... maybe...

Getting near time to think about winter projects on the old bike. It's in good shape but would be nice to hit the spring looking even better. Anyone have a good way to polish up the pipes?

So here it is in the flesh. I am not totally convinced. Price is good, DCT unique offering, looks a bit scooterish from certain angles, 40HP-50HP down on the competing Suzuki and Kawasakis, it's a tough market out there.

Does anyone else remember the hype for this soon to be 3 Wheel enclosed vehicle for a supposedly 7000 price and getting 80 plus mpg back in 2013
Per the USA Today the company has only 130,000 in the bank and is renting office they are now renting office space on a month to month basis in a strip mall next to a pawn shop in Phoenix.
I was hot to get one when they first came out. Part of their advertising was Pep Boys signing on to do all labor and warranty work which made it seem legitimate.

Glad I didn’t make the initial 1000 non refundable deposit and sorry for those that now may never see their bikes.

Hi all,
So I wanted to take my Honda top case that usually resides on my Crossrunner and make it swapable onto Nelly.

The solution involved removing the black tubular rack that came with Nelly and finding a flat topped rack that I could modify into something that fitted the bill.

So after browsing the interweb to see what was out there I settled upon a Hepco and Becker mini rack which included a flat top plate with which I could fudge up an adaptor in order to fit the CR top case.

I figured that if the H&B plate was too small I could find a larger top plate for my needs but the supplied plate worked out ok.
So I bought a new Crossrunner case plate, drilled the required holes in the flat plate and fitted the new Honda case plate.. the result is that I can now swap the case between the two bikes and keep Head of Acccounts happy as she likes the back pad on the box so win win for me eh?









I think the box fits ok and its a bonus that its pretty much the same colour too!

Since my earliier post about building an official CB1100 Forum Calendar seems to have garnered a moderate amount of support, I've decided to move forward with collecting images which could be used on the monthly feature pages. Submissions will remain open until the end of October. I'll announce an extension if it looks like we can get more good quality photos after the 31st though.

What I need from you, the users: high quality photographs of your CB1100 that express what you love about your bike. Use the best camera you can and shoot photos in the HIGHEST resolution you can. Be as artistic as you like, and focus on the bike. I want bikes from all categories, European/Asian/Australian/Canadian/American models, as many colors and styles as possible. I want Custom bikes, I want Dirty bikes, I want every kind of CB1100. Unique submissions will get the most weight. Users are encouraged to submit more than one shot from different angles if possible. Finally, high quality pictures of groups of CB1100's are also accepted, because that would be a great submission too.

What will be done with these images: 12 bikes will be selected from everything that gets submitted....at least I hope we get at least 12 . these 12 bikes will each be featured on one month of the calendar. The forum signature, or else a favorite quote from the user will also be featured on that month. On top of that, the Birthday of the user who's submission is chosen will be placed on the calendar. The selection process will be mostly subjective, open to the input from the forum, but ultimately down to what benefits the quality calendar as a whole. Once all the images are selected and arranged a final proof of the calendar will go up on the forum for everybody's consideration.

What not to do: Please don't submit photos that have already shown up on this forum anywhere. I could potentially build this entire calendar by shovelling through the massive library of great photos on the CB1100 photos board, But I wanted to feature new photos from current users and make something fresh. I always want to encourage involvement, and give people a chance to go out and take new photos off their beloved bike. Also, please do not submit any photos that focus more on the rider than the bike. Riders can appear in their photos, but we're looking for bikes here, so that's what the photos should focus on. **important note** Iif you have existing//old photos that are great but have never been posted on the forum, those are perfectly fine to submit.

Of course, all these great shots are already on the forum, so they're disqualified, but they're undeniably high quality shots, featuring a lot of variation, and focused on the bikes.

Any submissions should be sent to my email, misterprofessionality@gmail.com. Be sure to attach the full resolution copy of the photo, no compressed images.

If you want to float your pictures before submitting them, you're also welcome to post them here, i promise not to disqualify them Also, feel free to ask questions of discuss the calendar here as well.

I was thinking of having this as next month's photo theme (I'm picking it this time unless I'm mistaken...) but I ended up concluding that it'd be complicated and would limit responses. So, I have something easier in mind for that, but I thought that this was cool in any case. If anybody else wants to participate in this one, feel free, but it's not part of the photo challenge.

The idea is to find an old photo of a scene, and reproduce the photo at the scene location with your CB in it.

Here are a couple from my home town.

The first photo according to the internet is from 1890.



And the same location from today. The perspective isn't perfect and it could be fine-tuned, but it's close enough for me....



The town is famous for a few things, but mostly for the flooding that occurs on a regular basis. This picture was taken just after the flood of '52.
