Changed the front tire today, all went well, cable ties went good, tire direction on the wheel was fine, the bead set ok at 2.5 bar, bushes installed on the correct side, lube on the seals and shaft and everything mounted perfectly except.........
Breaking the bead, very easy and quick,
don't worry, the rim was supported, this is just a mock-up to show how it's done;
The brakes were dragging, they never drag; what went wrong
Balancing the wheel by using an alu rod, the tire settles as i rotate the rod left and right, nothing fancy and it works,
The stand is a home made paddock stand for my cb919 hornet;
Answer tomorrow

A British Motorcycle Forum ( SOHC/4 Owner's CLub ) offers Honda (and other) service manuals for free download, apparently legal (no copyright issues), and anyway ... by listing there posts here we do not violate copyright laws on our forum. Expect to be requested any email address for the first few downloads, and a request to verify your email address before further downloads.
[url=http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=17788.0]SOHC/4 manual links
The quality of the PDF/s is fair to good, depending on the initial date of issue of the manual.

I think the first big Honda I coveted was the 1983 CB1000 Custom. The first Honda I really wanted was of course the CT70 and then the MR 50, but I digress. I still see some nice CB1000Cs for sale at pretty reasonable prices and wonder if anyone here has had one. How does it generally compare to CB1100. They look like they might be more comfortable and I think it's probably a faster bike. Not sure about about acceleration and performance. Maintenance may be an issue too. I love my 2013 but I'd love to hear your comparisons.
