Anybody know what auto pump will fit in this bike other than the ones on amazon which I don't trust , mine whines like a major vacuum leak not if its normal but bike sat for many years, its a 2013 with 106 miles when i got it .
I pulled it out and rinsed it in my parts washer it looks real good just makes allot of whiney noise is this normal ? never heard a pump like this.

got my 13 up to 500 miles was scared of oem tires being so old but they look new anyway put the Pirelli Angel gt tires on a lil bit of a PIA but they seem like a good handling quality product

The quiet stock exhaust was and is a major plus of the CB1100 for me.

It is also part of the appeal of electric motorcycles and bicycles too. I like riding through the woods and being able to hear the birds, other wildlife, and wind in the trees.

I know that I'm in a minority, so if you absolutely must tell the world how awesome your 140 db aftermarket straight pipe is, please start another thread... We'll still be able to hear you!

An oldie, but worth another airing...!

DRILL PRESS : A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and flings your beer across the room, denting the freshly-painted project which you had carefully set in the corner where nothing could get to it.

WIRE WHEEL : Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them somewhere under the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprints and hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say, 'Oh sh*t'

DROP SAW : A portable cutting tool used to make studs too short.

PLIERS : Used to round off bolt heads. Sometimes used in the creation of blood-blisters.

Hey yall, got a 13 with 106 miles cleaned tank and pump assy, got about 500miles now , pump is very noticeable in how it sounds like a vacuum leak, it was pulsing earlier , bike runs ok but twice when down to two bars on gas gauge and about 85 miles on tank it would buck / surge when rolling past 5000 rpm in the lower gears like it was lacking fuel so i filled it up and only took 2.4 gal. Twice it has died when stopped but fires right back up, she is stock and looks awesome like new but it did sit for a number of years, any ideas before i buy a pump assy with my kids college fund? ive never heard a pump make this much noise on either mine or friends bikes

The road was the remotest in Vietnam, easy to have to wait an hour for anyone to pass, and it's currently rainy landslide season (I should have known that) - had to wait for 2 of the landslides to be cleared before I could continue. The landslides were orange clay mud, and I don't have knobblies on my CB11... So I hope I can find someone here who knows of a place who can ship these parts to vietnam (I have looked,, promise), since I'm stranded.

I'm soon to fit Wyvern 4-into-4 exhausts / silencers.

I'm able to raise and hold the front of the 'bike up by means of a hoist. I have to remove the centre stand as part of fitting these exhausts, so I propose to use a car trolley jack - with a flat piece of hardwood between jack and underneath.

I've done this very successfully on my 250 YDS3 Yamaha, but not with a 'bike as weighty as the CB. I'm not concerned about the weight per se, it's the 'wobble factor'!

Question 1. Has anyone done this swap and how did you support the back end of the CB?

Question 2. Did you remove the rear wheel?

Question 3. Has anyone used a jack under the CB, in which case, what did you bear upon on the 'bike?

If you are looking for a convenient way of powering accessories or heated clothing etc. in an electronically fused way the very low cost (£30) PDM from Marks Motorcycle Parts is just the job.

The live on ignition only connector under the left hand side panel is an ideal trigger for the onboard relay which ensures all circuits are deactivated when the ignition is off.

For the older Forum members interested in Road Racing it is sad to see two more racers recently died . Wes Cooley , only 65 years old and from the UK Paul Smart , he was 78 and died in a motor cycle accident on the road in the South East of England.
Wes died of complications from diabetes. When you realize that your hero's from years ago are no longer with us than you realize how precious time is .

Hi team

The engine fins are starting to get blackened round the edges now but I am having severe trouble cleaning it up again. I don't want to get in about it with a wire brush as I am assuming it is silver paint and not bare metal.

I am guessing I sprayed ACF50 too liberally on the hot areas and it has carbonised.

So any suggestions on getting it back to silver?
