I plan on changing to a different turn signal, anyone have any tips on how they come off. I was adding a battery tender cable to the battery today and looked at the signals, but not exactly sure how they come off.

For anyone that has cabin fever, I have been watching Itchy Boots on You Tube. Season 6 starts in Ecuador, traveling to Alaska. Single Dutch woman riding a Honda 300 crfl. Brave woman traveling by herself. I am envious,although have closed that door to that type of adventure myself. I think it’s worth a look.

Two weeks ago i installed the last pr3 in nz on my front wheel, took it to the testing station and it passed the warrant of fitness test.

Yesterday took it for a ride and noticed a distinct bounce in the bike which correlated with the tire rotation, worst at 50 km/h and also at 80 km/h but a bit less so at that speed; had to be the new front tire.

I looked at it and the small ridge close to the rim was uneven and closer to the rim where the valve was ( where the bead had popped on initially ).
Then i removed the wheel, checked for roundness and yes, there was a distinct low spot near the valve area.
Broke both beads, re-inflated the tire until both beads set and checked again; still there and in the same place!

Had a think for a while and broke the beads again but decided to put tire soap on the rim, the white stuff mixed with water especially made for this purpose and position the bead setting part of the bike opposite the valve area where it would pop on the rim as the pressure increased.
So the tire was nicely greased up and inflated again, this time the bead set with LESS pressure and the tire was now centered perfectly on the rim, balanced again and checked that it was now perfectly round as it should.

Moral of the story; i initially used a soapy spray bottle to seat the tire but the tire mounting lube ( the white stuff ) was a much better choice for the job since it allowed the bead to slap in place with a lot less friction due to the lube.

Thought i would let you know about my small saga and how to avoid it if it happened to you since the best way to learn is from someone else's mistakes, all the best for the season

So.... This just happened.

After Mrs. Gone and I sat on a new CB300R at a dealership, we were both jazzed about its looks, and she thought it was quite comfortable to sit on. I kept thinking that it would be fun to have one as an around-town bike and something to rotate into my commuting to start keeping miles off of the CB1100. Plus, when she was ready to learn, it would be perfect for her.

But, the out-the-door price for the little bugger was more than we were willing to pay. I casually cruise Craig's List, and started looking for these. One thing lead to another, and here we have someone's "I want to get a motorcycle" purchase, one year later, with 500 miles and months of garage dust on it. The price was too good to pass up.

Buying a new vehicle isn't the most practical thing to do during the holiday rush. But, the seller was 12 miles from my Mom's house, so a quick ride over and it will stay in her garage until things settle down and I can bring it home to give it a good detailing.

It's a zippy little guy, and it's so small that it can fit in our garage with the other bikes without a problem.

Is it possible to buy a stock or aftermarket seat foam for a 2014 standard?

It's amazing how easily we can get distracted when a pretty girl is admiring your bike. Especially when she's on the other side of the gas pump. Which, of course, caused me to lose track of what I was doing until the fountain of gas was flowing down the side of my tank.

So, when I got home, I decided to make it right, and took out my detailing supplies, ending, as Whoops does, with a coat of CMX Ceramic.

All's well that ends well.

Hello to all on the CB 1100 Forum members.... It's been awhile since I have posted since joining in April of 2015, I hope all is well despite the current World situation. I have an issue with my 2014 CB 1100. I had to replace the stock battery in my bike because I thought it had gone bad being the original battery purchased with bike. My bike has always been on a trickle charger when not being ridden, which is not as much as I would like to. My battery charger is a smart charger which tells me the battery is fully charged. Yet my headlight comes on when key is turned, but when I hit starter button, my solenoid clicks!!!. I have 2800 original miles on her. I would hope the solenoid is not defective or something is loose? I live in Northern Arizona south of the Grand Canyon, and the bike is garaged always. I wonder if a mouse has chewed the wiring someplace which drains the battery. I intend to buy a factory manual to possibly troubleshoot this. I am trying to find video's online which show how to test for a small voltage leakage with a volt meter. Any info is appreciated, A Blessed and Merry Christmas to all of you and yours!

Just picked up this 1968 CB350. It only has 1600 miles on it. Comes with original tires and brake pads that prove it too. It was a bit rougher than I expected for the mileage since the original owner rode it on gravel a lot. Crazy farmer bought it and never put it on the road. He just road it between farms out near St. Thomas, ON. But I'm thrilled to have it in the condition it's in. Original seat in great condition but the foam will need to be replaced. Tank looks new inside. All lights, gauges and switches working as it should. Unlike the CB125S this thing's headlight is actually decent. What would you do to it?

I've checked the how-to section, but cannot find a proper explanation of bleeding a model with ABS (no combined braking). May be I am missing is in my searches (did only find one thread on the early 2013 model with C-ABS). I know that on some bikes with ABS the brake fluid change requires some sort of workshop support equipment (like a controller which connects to ABS modulator). That doesn't seem to be the case on the CB1100.
The service manual shows the ABS modulator in two sketches, but otherwise doesn't mention it - no extra steps ???

Would appreciate any insight or thread links related to the subject.
