Hey I'm looking at a 2013 ABS with 20k miles on it tomorrow. Has new tires and new fork seals. Anything else I should look out for besides normal wear and tear?

The owner is asking $6500, but I think that's steep given the mileage. I'm in Southern CA, though, so price may be fair.

Thoughts?

We've been watching the most recent season of Itchy Boots on YouTube. If you're not familiar with her, she's a Dutch woman who rides solo through different parts of the world. Her GoPro and drone footage editing skills, along with the in-depth look at the locations she visits makes her videos very engaging. She just wrapped up a six month trip through Africa.

My wife has made very casual comments about wanting to ride someday. But, she's been mentioning it more. Last week, when I came home from work on the Bonneville, I found her sitting on the CB in the garage, playing with the switches on the handlebars.

"Whatcha doin' there, hun?" "Oh, I just wanted to see how it felt to sit on your bike. It's pretty neat!" I showed her what all of the switches and controls are, and how to pull in the clutch and flip through the gears.

This past Saturday morning, we found ourselves near the big Orange County Cars and Coffee, in a part of town we're rarely in at that time. We stopped to look at everything, and she walked to the motorcycles, not the cars. She honed in on an Africa Twin, saying it looked a lot like the bike Itchy was riding. "You're right, hun, but this is much larger." (Itchy was riding a CRF 250) She was enthralled with the way it looked.

The owner walked up, and we chatted a bit. He had been on several touring trips with the bike, and mentioned how much he liked the DCT. My wife asked what that meant, and he pointed to the handlebar. "See, there's no clutch. You can shift it, but it's pretty much an automatic."

"Automatic?... Isn't that cheating?"

I have CB1100RS and trying to installe Motogadget Motoscope Tiny.
when I drive as pluging off the original gauges,it didn’t work well…
The problem might be rev limiter(Japanese edition all have it)

Been in discussion with the seller of a 2013 model and he says the only thing "wrong" with the bike is the speedo is off by 20 mph; it reads 80 when you're doing 60.

Now I've owned plenty of bikes with as much as a 10% variation. My current '08 GSX650f reads 70 when you're going about 63, but man.... 20mph???

He didn't mention whether the gearing had been changed from stock. If it's not that, it concerns me. Your thoughts?

They come in different varieties and options, but the one above is rather plain and cool looking. Can't find that or similar product on any other site.

So I've been trying to order one, sent several emails, but they went unanswered. The ordering system on the website defaults to Japan only addresses. I'm looking for a solution, but not sure what to do. Anyone have any ideas?

I hit a big honkin' pothole last month. I didn't crash but, according to Reddit, my wheels are probably trashed. After a lengthy and unresponsive battle with my insurance I need to just take care of this myself. I'm trying to figure out what I need to test (and how to test) and because the state of Virginia should pay for damages. I don't have access to a full shop but I'm relatively competent with a wrench.

Currently all I can tell is damaged: the front and rear wheels and the rear tire. I'm probably going to replace the front out of an abundance of caution. So far I've done ye 'ol wheel shake and it sure seems like the bearings are fine on both wheels. I gave it a short ride to test the suspension and it's working fine as far as I can tell (but I didn't want to push it). What else do I need to do?

It came with basically new Pirelli Sport Demons, which I liked, but I'm looking for suggestions for different tires. I ride pretty hard overall, very much use it as sport touring. I'm in rural Appalachia so I end up on mixed surfaces a lot. It's not uncommon for me to do light dirt, gravel, broken pavement, and perfectly paved sweeping curves all in a day.

Also, has anyone got some wheels they can sell me for a good price? I'm kinda screwed right now as this is currently my only form of transportation. It hasn't been a big deal because I'm looking for work and have been able to borrow someone else's vehicle when I need to. That's about to not be an option though.
