I have just bought the cb1100a and have a question if I may. Could you tell me at what rev range do you change gears. I tend to ride between 2000 and 3000/3500rpm. Isn't that to low? Is it ok for the engine? It rides smoothly from 2000rpm easily, even lower.

Hi all Is there one of these available for the CB1100? If not does anyone know if the BMW one would fit the Honda? (most likely different thread/hole size)

Hi, been riding my cb500x recently while its still under warranty but took the cb1100rs out the other day. I couldn't believe the discomfort I was in through slighty leaning more forward than the 500x pain in the hands and shoulders which wasn't there before so I'm thinking about trying back/risers I've seen on Amazon.
My question is has anyone fitted these to the RS and are the cables long enough for say 30mm higher and 21mm back.

I've been researching how to take my speed limiter off on my 2013 cb1100 and since guhls motors no longer does that i was wondering if anyone has used the special agent Negotiator-S Speed Pulse Modulator and if it works well and easy to install?

Gonna donate my Suzi V-Strom1000 to a local listener-supported radio station here in SoCal called KJAZ, known as K-Jazz. They play jazz and blues, but, what Im going to miss most is the super comfy seat that bike has. It's like a Barcalounger. I am thinking of having the CB seat modified to mimic it. There's a local shop that modded my Sportster seat back in the day and I will see if they can work their magic on that plank of a Honda seat. We'll see how it goes.

My '13 has 59.5k miles on its clock, and the last couple of oil changes I noticed that oil level before the change is on the minimum mark (the last time even slightly below than that) besides I always fill it up to the upper mark. To be precise, after filling the new oil I let the bike heat up, then cool down for 5 min, check the oil level (usually it's slightly less than upper mark), and add up to the upper mark again.

So, my question is: does the engine start to wear out and this means something will have to be done some time soon (like piston rings, valve oil seals)?

What is the oil consumption do you guys have at the bikes with higher mileage?

I use Honda GN4 10w40 oil, if that matters.

Took the girl out with a mate for some photos the other week, pretty pleased with the result!

Got a few mods left I wanna do, hopefully get them done in the next few months...

My ongoing saga with Revzilla hit a crescendo yesterday. In late May, I ordered new handlebars for one of my bikes, along with some trim bits. The parts were carelessly tossed in a box, causing everything to bang into each other, scratching up all of the parts, with the handlebars sticking out of one side of the box.

After multiple calls to get it resolved and a promised credit for my troubles that didn't appear, the replacement parts for the damaged ones arrived yesterday. I was promised that they would do a better packaging job so that nothing would get damaged.

Here's what showed up. The box is shorter than the handlebars, so they were sticking out of both sides of the box this time, not just one.

I fired off what Mrs. Gone would call a "strongly worded email". Don't really care if they respond or make any promises this time. It's clear that they have slid too far downhill to get further business from me.

I have a buddy that found a bike to buy in Maryland and wants to have it shipped to Ohio.

Can anyone recommend a decent shipper?
