| Weird Observation About Personal Phobias |

I've just been ruminating about a personal phobia that should be affected by riding motorcycles, but is not. And I have no idea why.
To explain: Everyone has some sort of deep, personal fear. Small spaces, sharks, being trapped under a burning couch. Whatever. My deepest fear is having my skin scrape on pavement. This fear is so pervasive that I can't walk on pavement bare-footed. Just thinking about it gives me chills.
A few days ago, while running work errands, I had parked my bike and was walking somewhere nearby. I was wearing my armored riding jeans and boots, but no jacket or gloves. While walking along, I tripped on an uneven part of the sidewalk, and fell forward. My knees hit the ground first, but I didn't feel much due to the pads in my jeans. My outstretched hands hit the sidewalk next to break my fall.
My hands hurt for a few minutes but they weren't cut or scraped. But the thought of them hitting the pavement sent such a chill through me that my "boys" downstairs started hurting a little, and I had to sit down for a minute.
However, this fear has no affect on my motorcycle riding. I don't even give it a thought. Yes, I'm geared-up and the parts that would hit the ground are covered, but it just seems weird to me that I don't think about it at all when I'm riding.

Hello everyone,
I own a 2013 Honda CB1100 and had minor damages to my bike recently due to a crash.
What is the best place online to shop for either used OEM or after market parts, such as mufflers?
Thanks,
Saarang

Every year since 2006 some of the men in our family (and the occasional invited guest) get together for a week long motorcycle ride some place. some of the places we have been BRP/Dragon, U.P. of Michigan, Berea, Ky, Little Switzerland North Carolina, Marietta, Ohio, OINK (SW Ohio/Indiana/N Kentucky),Virginia, West Virginia. Some have been so good we have returned to the same spots several years
So this year (our 17th) we decided to try the Windy 9, in SE Ohio as advertised by the Athens Ohio Tourism board
https://www.windy9.com/
Our group this year would include myself (NC 750) my son Brian (Yamaha MT 10) my younger brother Randy (Triumph Bonneville T-120), nephew Roger who flew in from Nevada (CB500X) and my son's FIL Jim (NC 750)
We begin the trip at Jim's house with a group photo

the ride there was fun too on roller coaster 247 in Adams county

A stop at Cruiser's Diner aka the "Tin Can" for lunch.... home of the Hubcap Burger a 1# behemoth. We settled for the 1/2 pound burgers

Couple of hours later we arrived at the cabin we had rented for the week. We normally book a hotel for a base but thought we'd splurge this year

After that it was 5 days of riding some of the best roads in SE Ohio including Ohio's famous "Triple Nickle" Rt 555

So how was the riding? Honestly it was awesome. We could not find a bad road

555, 664, 56, 278, 374, 550, 377, 78, 180, 677 are just some of the great roads we were able to ride.. all well maintained, all virtually traffic free and nothing but curves
