Sorry, I forgot the lens on GoPro are offset to the left, I didn't intend on having the whole meter cluster in the video either.

This video is of my wife and I riding down "S7" on my CB11.

Our ride was about 110 total miles and we both loved it, I took her up to Palomar by taking S7.
We ate at Mother's kitchen up there and then made our way back down and went home.
Mother's kitchen is a vegetarian restaurant and had an interesting menu,
I had their supreme nachos and she had their club sandwich.
Instead of meat they have "boca" which is made of soy protein and wheat gluten. Wasn't too bad...

I stiffed up the suspension standard settings by 1 position on both ends and ensured the specified air pressure was in both tires.
The CB1100 did great and my old lady only closed her eyes during a few leans on our way up.

I noticed while we were on the freeway briefly, RPMS were at about the same spot they are when it's just me.
Riding 2 up I got 53 MPG!!!!! Best yet!
No stop-n-go riding, all open road.

Just curious. There is a little piece of plastic at the base of the spark plugs. Why? And, do they have to be removed to replace the spark plugs? Maybe such is just new to me.

on the heals of Guth - my father was also a huge influence on my riding past and future. He started racing motocross and hairscrambles on a penton 125 & bought a 1970's XR 75 for my brother and I to race. Two bad racing accidents in the last 3 years and he finally retired from racing at age 70. He is currently getting his bike ready for a younger rider to race this season. He gave me the CB750A that i have ridden since the 1980's and his response to my CB11 was - we have a new member to the family.

If you own a CB1100 and found an extremely nice restored or original 1974 CB750 Four for a fair price, would you?

I'm at that stage where I have two bikes, love the riding, having a lot of fun, but my heart is still being pulled to the 1974 CB750...

I know this is my passion, but I'm just not sure it will just sit in my garage taking up space (which I don't have a lot of) with me starring at it and not riding it all that much.

Not sure if the old vs. the new technology (i.e. brakes, EFI etc.) will make the old pale in comparison to the new CB1100 in terms of riding time...?

I've never had three bikes at one time. I know some of you have many other bikes, perhaps even an early 70's CB750 or other classic bikes.

So I would love to hear your thoughts as to what you might consider doing. Have any of you been there done that?

I've been thinking about tank knee pads. I love the way they look on older Hondas and new Triumph standards still come with them. Keith Code (A Twist of the Throttle) talks a lot about keeping shoulders and arms loose and holding on to the tank with your knees. This would seem to be a lot easier with tank knee pads.

I've looked at what's on eBay and Amazon; pads for vintage Hondas like the CD175, S65 and more recent Triumphs. There's nothing on webike japan. Sport bike hackers use non-slip tape or truck bed spray but there's no way I would do that!

The appeal is primarily aesthetic, as it visually calls attention to one aspect of riding technique, but I'm curious to see if it enhances the riding experience.

Any thoughts?

A proud CB1100 owner for almost 2 weeks.

I see some of you guys have 750 Nighthawks as well as the CB11. How would you rate the vibration comparing the two. I've seen some sweet deals on some 750's. 1/4-1/3 the cost of CB11. Just to tool around on.

Bummer, guys. Had a little spill today. It shouldn't be my fault, I was approaching a left turn down hill and was taken out by a guy coming up the other way who lowsided into my lane.

The bike made it out pretty OK, I think! There is some rash on the left side cover on the engine, some scrapes on the clutch lever and turn signals, and the plastic cover on the speedo got ripped off.. I think that's the extent of it.

No injuries on either side, so I think we can call it a good day.
