Anyone have or know of any type of tank protection/protector for the knee grooves? I really don't want to cover up the beautiful red, but I don't want to scratch it either. I was thinking of having XPEL film installed ( it has done great on my car) but have to find out if gasoline will harm it. Just fishing for ideas and seeing what you all may have done.

Hey all, just got mine yesterday and LOVE it. I really want to order the luggage rack and gauge cover, but when I enter the part numbers on the website I buy from (Service Honda) it says not found. Really don't want to pay full price for them from my dealer since I am outta funds from buying the bike.
08L70-MGC-A20 $274.95
08F72-MGC-D30 $50.95
Curious if any of you bought them online, where from and what you paid.

Just curious as to what is supposed to be in the tool kit, Mine consists of the the following;
1- fuse puller
1 - Allen key
1 - screwdriver handle
1- Phillips screwdriver insert for handle
1 - blue bag
Not, that I need the tools, I am just curious. The manual doesn't say.
I am in the USA.
Thanks

I'll be spraying this stuff on my riding jackets and boots, (but not the soles, obviously). Watch the video at the link... absolutely amazing.
Edit: They've changed up the videos. The imbedded one is now the Rust-o-leum advertisement. Click the link just below the picture of the pair of canvas shoes for a six minute video about the product development and much more amazing demonstrations on cloth and cardboard surfaces.

It seems that WeBike Japan no longer list the rubber front fork gaitors, covers or boots. The T100 Bonneville also has 41mm forks seems like we could use themand they are cheaper. Anyone try these yet?
Seems someone on the CB1100 UK forum has used the Bonneville gaitors and fit fine so I am going that route.

Rode out to eastern Ohio today and in the process set three new records for me and the CB. First tank it still hadn't started started flashing reserve at 142 miles when I stopped for gas. 142 miles took 2.5 gal to fill for 56.8 mpg
On the next tank it went on flashing reserve at 146 miles. I stopped for gas at 171.4 miles and it took 3.1 for 55 mpg.
Record 1 Best gas mileage 56.8 mpg
Record 2 Most miles before hitting reserve 146
Record 3 Most miles on a tank 171.4
BTW turned over 2,100 miles on todays ride.
Oh and one of the gas stops a guy was admiring the bike as I came out of the station. Said my bike was running hot cause the pipes were turning red. I told him about the stainless steel but I don't think it sunk in. Said I should be running 20w50 oil cause it needed thicker viscosity when it's hot. Lol. He was 69 and said he put 100,000 miles on a Honda Pacific Coast before he gave up riding at 63 because car drivers are crazy these days. What a hoot.
