I met up with Scott at their shop in Huntington Beach, CA
He was a really nice guy.
He took the measurements and then we talked about the bike for quite a bit ha.

Now that they personally have taken the measurements, they will make a prototype which will take 2-3 weeks because they are also working on prototypes for two other bikes.
Once they are finished with it, they are going to call me back and fit it to the CB11, if it is a perfect fit, they will leave it on and let me ride with it until they have the final product ready.
The only options available will be Polished Aluminum or Anodized Black.
I'm thinking about going with the black.

The only problem he sees is the brace might hit the...two round thing-a-ma-jigs?? Those are for the horn right????
Because of the marks on my forks and explained I might have to move them up a bit.
The cables should be fine where they are at.

He asked me if I ride it or brake really hard and I told him about the other day...

I took a route home I've never taken before and the paved road went to dirt and gravel, the front end ended up hitting part of the road pretty hard. I'm guessing that's where those marks came from.

I'll let you all know how the bike performs and if I have any problems with it once I have the prototype fitted.

Turned. 600 miles. With all the luggage ready for a 4K road trip it only does 110 mph and pulls but 6500 rpms

The light turned yellow and I figured I could make it, turned out there was a policemen on the perpendicular street waiting for his light to turn green. It might have turned red RIGHT before I was in the intersection but eh, I wanna say it turned red just before I made it out.
Any way, he immediately turned on his lights and I even heard his siren.

"nice bike" he says... (hmm, maybe he'll let me off with a warning...especially since he was also riding a bike)

"keep your helmet on, this will only take a sec"

"what year is that? is that a 400 or a 500?"

and nope... he wasn't asking because he was interested, he was asking because he needed to know what to put on the dang ticket!

All well, I think I will try to fight it to avoid paying the fine and taking the point on my license.
I was on my way to get some tools, at least they had a craftsman 1/2 in drive torque wrench for half off, got it for $40.

The owner's manual says 1,000 plus or - 100 rpm. My Cb1100 is running a little too high. I know that motor must be warm. I think the screw can be seen from the right side of bike. Brake side. Am I right? If anyone knows, please let me know something. It has been a while since I had a in-line four! Thanks folks, God Bless...

So Sunday I'm out putting some miles on the CB. Hitting the curvy roads in my county. I turn onto this state road down a big hill, left hand turn, right hand curve across a little bridge and I see a bike coming towards me. I acknowledge him, and he me, and as he passes I see its another CB 1100 ! No way. I pull a u turn and it takes me about 3 miles to catch him. Ends up my dealer got 2 bikes. I got the first, he bought the second. Said he loved it. Had 2 Ducati 's at home but preferred riding the CB. We bid each other well, and I turned around and headed the way I was originally headed and enjoyed the rest of my ride.

Really never thought I'd see another CB running around. was kinda cool.

I ordered these from Webike-Japan while the bike was gone to Bazzaz, and they arrived (very quickly!) last week.

The Cozy Seat sits a little higher (1/2--3/4") in front, and about 1" taller in the back than the stock seat. The vinyl is more shiny than the OEM seat.

Like I said in the Bazzaz thread, we're currently 103f, and tomorrow's supposed to be 108f. Hopefully I can have a ride report on the fueling, and the new seat by Sunday.

Warranty:
Base pan, foam and hardware of Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship warranted for one year. Corbin saddles require a break in period of approximately 2000 miles. The seat feels firm initially, but with use will break-in to conform to the individual. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace / rectify defective parts. Hey all. So, here's the deal. I'm a large chap. I have rather muscular legs and because of that, I feel quite a lot of knee pain on even short rides. My theory is that my thighs, which would be hams on any other animal, press into my calves and create a sort of backwards pressure on my knees, like they're being pressed forward.

So, short of purposfully atrophying my legs to shrink the muscles, does anyone have any suggestions to ease my knee pain?

Forgive my computer ignorance, but how do you snip a sentence from a post that you want to reply to? I can't seem to get it right.

I have been installing Lockhart-Phillips bullet turn signal lights this week. Knowing that the CB11 has front marker lights combined with the turn signals I ordered the 3 wire version with dual filament bulbs for the front. When I began to disconnect the stock lights I found only two wires. After doing 6 similar installations on other bikes this is the first time I have encountered this system. Apparently, Honda sends a low amperage signal down the turn signal wire full time to serve as marker lights. When the turn signals are operated a higher amp signal is sent down the same wire to produce the flashing. I installed the lights leaving the marker light wires disconnected. Works fine. So... anyone planning this farkle, you will only need the two wire lights.

P.S.
This farkle is a bit more involved on the CB11 than on other bikes I have done. For those who are going to do it, have patience. You will have a few problems to solve.
