I ordered some candy glory red air cleaner covers from Samurider, but Takashi said the manufactur, Force Design, and a lot of other companies basically shut down in August for vacation.

I thought I'd pass this on. Hopefully it won't impact any of your pending orders from Japan. But just in case be aware. I currently have a 4 week wait for an in-stock part.

Stocked up on some oil today as it was on sale. I also picked up a couple filters just so I don't have to run out when I do the next one in about a month.

I had a good day of hard riding for a few hours and noticed just a little bit of oil around the oil cap w/ a tiny air bubble. It was tight w/ the black rubber gasket, but seems somehow a little pushed through. Any thoughts? I'm now at 2,000 miles and looking soon at another oil change to a synthetic or blend. It broke in nice and seemed to loosen up w/ smooth torque all the way to 7000 rpm. I'm not going into the red but I'll keep it between 5-6 in that sweet zone of torquey bliss.

How many are having a hard time locking up the rear wheel? How many are (not) having a hard time locking up the rear wheel? Let start a poll and get it on the right track. Something may be wrong with the early production models. But, I don't know for sure. Everyone get involved (PLEASE) I want to get to the bottom of this! Thanks everyone. God Bless..

I wasn't sure if I would let you all know, but, I traded her in.

She is an awesome bike and if I could have two bikes, she would always be mine. I can see myself picking one up again down the road.

I was really enjoying her, nice and comfortable, strong, super easy to ride... I just needed more... So I traded her in for a CB1000R.

The CB1000R feels so aggressive and it is much easier to shift my weight into a turn, it is what I was looking for, should have thought about it over more during the first trip to the dealership.

I won't talk about the deals made, but I did get the CB1000R while it was on sale.

Anyway, I will be visiting this site from time to time to see how you all are doing, there was so much more I wanted to do to the CB11... But I am much happier now with this bike.

I will be posting up the Staintune exhaust for sale soon, I also have the service manual and the extra tools missing from the tool bag upon acquiring the CB11 from the dealer.

I just received my first communication (HondaCare Protection Plan) in the mail. Has anyone in the forum purchased this option? or possibly waiting till just before the original warranty (1 yr ltd?) expires?

On the rear weave/tracking issue.. It's not much but I have experienced it more consistently on lower speed left turns and/or weaving back into a straight line after a slow deep banking right turn. The only other time (infrequently) that I have noticed it is during deceleration (engine braking) or coming to a stop applying only rear brake (trying to break-in rear pads since rear brake is reeaallly weak!).

I have checked out following potential contributing factors and am open to any other ideas and suggestions:
Tire pressure - 36F, 42R
Wheel balance mark on tire and wheel - in line on front, off by an inch on rear
Pulled and pushed on a few things front/back (suspension, swing arm, chain, fork..) on center stand for potential give or play.. everything looks and feels snug
Will check front and back wheel alignment as soon as I get my hands on a couple of long 2x4s
Rear shocks are at cushiest setting and feels too soft. I like my frame/suspension stiff to get a better feel for the road. I will play with the setting as soon as I get a shock spanner-wrench.
Swapping tires may fix the issue but I don't think that the brand new Dunlops are to blame. I also realize that new bikes should be issue free but things happen during transportation to dealer and/or end user.

I apologize for the lengthy post and I'm by no means complaining about the bike or the manf. Just trying to get to the root cause of a hopefully minor issue. I absolutely love the bike!!

I can't see how to get the long bolts and spacer past the turn signals.

Several of us have gotten different K&H seats so you've seen photos of these high quality seats (we have to justify spending so much on a seat).

What's really impressive is the quality, details and care taken in constructing these seats. I had read their web site using Google Translate to get an idea of what they go through building one of our seats.

I just got my low seat (which I think is the same height as the stock seat in the Japan/Australia markets) and examining the BOTTOM of the seat pan I was IMPRESSED.

This is the overall view you may have seen in the Tall Seat thread. I think it was mentioned that they thought the pan was metal, it's "fiberglas reinforced plastic" which apparently is K&H's speciality, making high quality fiberglas parts. Smooth, polished, well finished everywhere. No heavy chopper-gun fiberglas pan like that other seat company.



Just unpacked the seat so the strap is still screwed underneath. Don't remember ordering the strap but I got it and it matches the top of the seat.

Check out the stainless hardware seat fittings and rubber bumpers.





Notice how neatly they attach the seat material to the pan with screws, no quick & dirty staple-gun used here.

Like the Staintune slip-on this is high quality stuff that they took the time to build right. Relatively expensive, but once you examine it closely you realize you get what you pay for.

I've had seats from Mustang, Saddleman, Danny Gray, a custom Rick Mayer, but this K&H exudes quality like I haven't seen before.
