I'd like to move the bars back about an inch. Fellows at the Honda shop don't have a clue. Thought I'd run it past you fellows on the forum.

I am also replacing the mirrors with a couple off of the 2013 Fury. I think the factory mirrors stick up like a pair of sore thumbs. Considered bar ends but don't want to go to that much trouble or change the character of the bikes look that much.

On the risers I don't want to have to change brake lines or rewire. Seems like moving back an inch or inch and 1/2 should be doable.

Gentlemen,

Several of our members have replaced their turn signals with smaller units that look more like the ones that Honda mounts on the CB1100's sold in Japan. Instead of buying signals that "look like" the Japanese units, has anybody purchased the actual Honda factory Japanese turn signals?

You know how the ad copy says the CB is a bike that makes you want to just go for a ride for no reason? Tonight after dinner, my wife headed off to her pottery class. I had Two and a Half Men on the telly, and said to myself..... hey lets go for a ride. Grabbed a helmet, gloves and leather jacket, Walked out to the garage, walked past the Majesty and the ST and rolled out the CB. With no particular place to go, just headed out and rode around for an hour. Turn after turn I laid it over and let that awesome motor just pull me out the other side. Put a giant smile on my face. This bike does indeed make you just want to go for a ride. What a great motorcycle

I am thinking of getting a CB1100, does anybody have a good idea of the various tire brands available and how long are your tires lasting?

Several others on this forum (Jolla, Ack-CB11) have purchased K&H seats. K&H is puportedly the top-of-the line seat maker in Japan and has a wide selection. I got my seat today!

This is a TALL seat – a substantial 28mm higher than the stock US seat.

Expensive? Yes, $620 with the red piping.

Long Wait? I got mine exactly 30 days from order placement to delivery for a semi-custom hand made seat. I think Ack-CB11 got his in 3 weeks!

Worth the Money? Too early to tell on long distance comfort but build quality is near breathtaking. Exceptional materials. For instance the stock seat has a plastic base but the K&H seat has gleaming black metal one.

Easy to Install? It’s a much tigher fit that the stock seat and absolutely rock solid.

Comfortable? Again, too soon to tell. It’s a bit firmer than the stock seat but easier to reposition yourself and no sliding forward. The extra leg room is readily apparent and very much welcomed. That alone will make a big difference for me.

When I stared up my dirt driveway for the first time with the new seat, I felt like I was a mile off the ground and was somewhat less comfortable negotiating the rocks and deep ruts. Ten miles later and the higher seating position was forgotten. It’s true you have a higher center of gravity with this seat, but I didn’t notice it a bit, even when pushing things.

I bet Takashi will even throw in a couple full color CB1100 catalogs like he did with my seat.

This accessory will almost never come into play during my two up riding, and infrequently when agressively riding solo, but it’s well machined and looks pretty good on the bike.

I got this AGRAS (“The AGgressive Racing Support) fork brace from Takashi at http://www.samurider.com/?p=6361/#itemImage for a hefty $170. Took a quick trip to try out a new seat and this brace. Slid the rear a couple of times on bumpy back roads, but didn’t do any hard corner breaking over bad roads to upset the front.

Install is easy. It already comes assembled. Remove the 2 ends and slide the brace straight down between the fork tubes. It's a beautiful tight fit, so avoid tilting either end when pushing it into place. Then attach the clamps at ech end and you're done.

Not sure what to make of shipping from Japan – 59 hours from pickup at Takashi’s to delivery by my local post lady. I don’t get anything but tax bills that fast!

Well we spent 2 days in western Wi..Our goal was to go to Perrot state park in Trempealeau Wi. [/img]
We wanted to hike the trails and talked with the rangers about a bluff
hike. It was really something! 1/ 1/2 hr. hike up a tight trail ,with no guard
rails ( they warned us). We stopped to rest many times after all we are in our 60s. But the climb was worth it. You really can't get a grasp of the
view from the pics..

We also went down to the Tremplealeau lock and dam. My wife's father
worked on one when he was in the CCC corps in the 30's.

We also rode around this part of the state. I found a bar that used a promo that I always said I was going to use in my retail store.
When you are trying to think up ways to get people in to your store sometimes I would just throw up my arms say " Lets just put a sign that
says Free beer tomorrow. My wife and my ad people always nixed it.

All in all a good trip ,we did have some troubles with my wife's TU 250
but that's another story.
Had a room next a Ground Round so I felt it was my duty to eat and drink to much
