Hello! I come from Vietnam! I would like to share a picture of my CB1100. I like the classic style of the CB1100.

  nice afternoon
Posted by: petec_imp - 10-11-2013, 10:34 AM - Forum: Seat Time - Replies (2)

Lois works nights and I'm off till Sunday so we put aside our little chore list today and took off on a spur-of-the-moment ride this afternoon. Managed right at 100 miles on a nice loop through the mountains here.

Some of it was brisk, and some of it was slower and a bit more contemplative, but all of it was exceptionally nice, with the weather being just perfect as evidenced by the number (lots!) and variety of other motorcyclists we saw today; felt more like a Sunday rather than a Friday!

The CB performed flawlessly as per its brief. The little bit of driveline lash is really the only thing preventing it from a perfect scorecard. I must say that (intellectually, anyway) I was put off by the overall weight of the thing when I first got it but now I really delight in the substantial, secure, but still light-on-its-feet feeling I get when working through the twisties or, frankly, just the outstanding quality of the overall ride in almost any situation. I just continue to be so impressed with this bike and can only nod Worship to whatever corporate decision (or piece of karma) that resulted in Honda bringing this to the USA; thank you, sirs!

Anyhow, a couple of pics, trying (with little success) to catch a little color of the day:

The CB in CB1100 I thinks stands for Completely Balanced... What a bike! Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Have you installed a headlight modulator (and with or w/o solid state relay)?
Posted by: rjk555_imp - 10-11-2013, 09:48 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (22)

Good afternoon,

I am considering installing a headlight modulator on my CB. The question I pose to the forum is whether to also include a solid state relay along with the modulator. I unfortunately don't know enough about the technical aspects of our bike to figure out if the bike already has a solid state relay associated with the headlight. Does anyone know if our CB1100 already has this equipment?

I am considering the Comagination Visipath. The [url=http://www.comagination.com/modulator.htm]first is with NO solid state relay. The second is [url=http://www.comagination.com/relay-kit-headlight-modulator.htm]with a solid state relay.

For those of you who may be new to the world of headlight modulators, they are devices that will cause your headlight to blink rapidly during the day only, thus increasing your visibility while riding. They are legal in every state. Here is a useful [url=http://www.webbikeworld.com/Reviewed-motorcycle-products/comagination/visipath/visipath.htm]review about these safety devices. Cost for a modulator only is $69.90. Combination modulator and relay is $149.90.

Why consider the solid state relay? Installing the modulator alone on some bikes may cause total brightness level to dim. In those instances, headlight modulator companies suggest installing a solid state relay to your bike's wiring to prevent this.

Thank you.

Anybody know if anyone sells an aftermarket stainless steel header? Just the header.

Also does anyone have an aftermarket system where there is no connection for the O2 sensers? If so, how does it work?

New Chic Design Fairing coming soon
Posted by: CB4ME_imp - 10-10-2013, 07:22 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (25)

Saw this on Samurider.com and thought I'd share. It's supposed to come out at the end of the year.

While the new Chic Design fairing isn't my cup of tea and may not be yours, it does appear to provide more chest and arm wind protection...... AND.....it's red!

Hummm......get one for winter riding??? Big Grin

  Shield = Better Gas Mileage
Posted by: CIP57_imp - 10-10-2013, 12:39 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (17)

Was out for a 400mi ride last week. Went to Lake George for a cup of coffee and my favorite roast beef sandwich. Traveling each way at 65-75 MPH I was getting 58MPG up from my best of 52 without the shield. Blinking reserve came on at 175 and filled up at 198mi at 3.4 gals ( 58.3 not bad )
It makes sense, there's far less pressure on my body and my neck was not hurting from the wind.
Now the seat has a lot to be desired. Did ride the 198 straight but my ass was burning. Could not wait to get off. Needless to say the seat went out to Seth Lamm Monday morning for some work. Should have it back in about 10 days. Back and forth with one fill up not mt ST's mileage but not bad either.
