last night I try to lean the motorbike at stop just to feel how heavy it is, it is!

Seem to me this bike is 600 lbs not 540, compared to the BMW R1200R, it feels much heavier at lean angle; compare to the Yamaha FZ1, it feels 100 lbs heavier.

Does anyone really weight the bike on scale for the real number?

I put my CB1100 and VTX1800F up for the winter and now have to wait for Spring. I am a fair weather rider and don't ride in temperatures below 55 degrees. When I put the bikes up I make sure the gas tank is full to keep condensate out and connect a battery tender and put a cover on. I have been doing the same procedure for all of my bikes in the past and it works for me. It is snowing in my area today but not building up on the ground yet. Now comes the winter doldrums.

Got this windscreen from Monster (http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/1309/Wind...1309.html) and have been test riding it the last couple days. Took it to Wickenburg yesterday and I'm just not all that pleased with it. I'm comparing it to a Givi A770 I have on the Giso and it's coming up short.

Seems to have two problems; a fair amount of turbulence coming boiling in on my upper chest and with no apparent crosswind I get buffeted from side to side on my upper body and helmet area. This was worse on Saturday, much less on Monday but still there.

Now it could be because I'm too tall (I'm mostly legs though). I can adjust the angle just a wee bit so I can play with that too.

Test speeds were mostly between 65 and 75mph. Best results were below 65.
Now a logical response would be to get an A770 and put her on the Honda. Only two things wrong with that idea; 1) while it looks like it was meant for the Griso it looks dumb on the CB (I tried! ). 2) The A770 is no longer made. I had a dickens of a time finding the one for my Griso.

I have been out riding every few days and it has just been glorious up here in Maine this time of year. The leaf-peepers have all gone and we finally have the place to ourselves again. Riding through the country with color still in the the leaves, along winding roads, farms on either side, horses and cattle grazing in the pastures. I am pretty sure this is what I had in mind when I decided to get back in the saddle of a bike after 40 years.

I used to train on Tuna Canyon when I was cycling competitively but this was my first time down it on a motorcycle so I took it easy. It's probably the most technical descent in the Santa Monica Mountains due to its numerous blind turns, off camber turns, decreasing radius turns, and steep grade. To make matters worse, there's no guidrail at the majority of the turn so if you go wide, you'll have to deploy your chute.

The best part about Tuna Canyon is the last 3 miles or so is one way so you can use the full width of the road and not worry about oncoming traffic.

Footage was captured with a GoPro Hero 2 mounted to my tank with a suction cup. I REALLY like this position. I can control the camera mid ride, and the reflections on the blinker and The honda logo look pretty nice in the frame.

Which one of you was wears a white jacked gassing up at the Chevron off PCH and Sunset this morning?

I was cruising down PCH when I saw you pull into the station. I wanted to turn in to say hello but I was surrounded by cars and didn't want to create a hazard.

First CB1100 I've seen ridden on the road. Nice lookin' bike if I do say so myself.

Please help me decide on my next Honda.

Should I go Urban Chic?



Or blend in with the local cows?

Just wondering of a front stand is needed to remove front wheel/forks?

Not sure you can even use one on the CB, but just curious what people experiences are with them/
