You know we tend to think of the CB 1100 as one small model ( I guess cause in the USA that is all we have had) but when you stop to think of all the different guises of the CB 1100, there really are a lot
Lets see.. the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013s for other markets came in black, white, blue (2 blues?) silver (2 silvers?).... hey...how come no one has joined the forum with a silver CB 1100 yet ?.. I wonder
the 2013 USA model comes in one shade of red,
the 2014 USA Deluxe in another shade of red
the std 2014 USA model comes in another shade of black
silver engines, black engines
silver wheels, black wheels with polished edges, all black wheels
with tank stripes and without tank stripes
low seat, high seat
4 into 1 exhaust, 4 into 2 exhaust
Standard, EX, and Deluxe models
5 speed transmissions, 6 speed transmissions
2 different size turn signals
2 different sets of gauges
2 different types of handlebars
2 different passenger grab rails
2 different gas tanks
various parts either painted or polished
Honda has invested a lot of effort into this bike.. 5 years, multiple iterations, loads of subtle changes.

RandyB posted up this pic of a black CB 1100 and I thought it was a good picture for looking at details of the 2014 std... if this is representative of what we are getting. I assumed it was a flatish black for 2014. This may be an Australian or Japan model???
http://motocikli.bjbikers.com/files/2012/03/37.jpg
some things I noticed
The seat looks like a low seat?
Smaller turn signals than 2013 models
Engine paint looks gloss and not flat
rear shock springs are black
footpeg brackets are black
bar end weights are either chrome or polished
brake reservoir caps are polished
top tree may be polished
rear grab rails may be polished
peg feelers appear shorter
anybody see anything else?
If this is what we are getting, this is a very nice looking motorcycle

I'm almost embarrassed posting this given the conditions many of the Forum's members are enduring. I tell myself it's to help encourage you to believe that, but the time the Ferret's new bike is delivered, the weather will have turned and you'll be on the road again.
I had to go out on some errands this morning. In spite of what follows, it rained a bit and the CB1100 and I got a little wet. There was a bit of a landmark as the bike passed 7,000 kms (4,375 miles).
I went to a town called Yandina ([url=https://maps.google.com.au/maps/ms?msid=201247423130042081552.0004f2a8965eae7ff1e1f&msa=0&ll=-26.438606,152.990799&spn=0.547814,1.056747]map of the ride) and then over to the coast. As I headed to the coast, the weather cleared, so here's a couple of photos of the Pacific Ocean (in which I later swam).
The bloody great lump of rock in the background is said to be the second largest monolith in the Southern Hemisphere after Uluru (Ayres Rock). It's called Mt Coolum and towers over what used to be the Hyatt Coolum Resort which hosted the Australian PGA until 2012. Only golf fans will have the slightest interest in this piece of trivia.
The photo below is taken approaching the farthest point you can see in the photo above.

I say get what ya love and don't look back.
But. I'd be hard pressed to trade a 13 and lose that much $$.
It would be worth more to me in my garage.
I imagine most dealers are at the point that 6k is a reasonable trade value. Ouch. That probably at best in fact considering I just purchased a 13 for 7k otd from a private owner w only 144 miles on the odo.
If it had 3-5k miles id likely have offered 6 tops on a private sale.
Oh. Should mention mine was not abs. Maybe that would add 400$.
Never felt need for abs other than a touring bike like my BMW.
Hope this helps some of you w you trade considerations.
Only sharing so many of you considering a trade have a recent frame of reference.

Check out the pipes on the red one in the background
http://youtube.com/watch?v=It8ajao0dBI
Things to come? I don't think so, I think those are aftermarket pipes but interesting that they would display them.
Noticed on this supposedly 2014 that the gauge cluster has the old instruments, and that it carries some acc from the catalog, like red fork caps, and chrome instrument covers.
