| Grand Kids Riding up front? |

I've always enjoyed riding around the neighborhood (5-10mph) with grand kids in front of me.
I've always felt that was the safest place (I'm sure they won't fall off) and most enjoyable for them (hard to see around a big fat man and gives them a more realistic view of what it's like to ride a motorcycle).
I have 3 problems I want to fix:
1. I want a small set of extended handle bars for them to hang on to
2. I a set of foot pegs for them, extended out (away from engine) and up (for shorter legs)
3. I want a way for them NOT to get burned by the engine (some type of shield or maybe something they wear on their legs)
Does any one have the same idea? Have you solved problems 1,2 or 3? How?
If they are small enough their legs can't reach the engine, but as they get bigger it becomes a problem.
Thoughts?

I have been recovering from injuries sustained last September when I was run off the road by a car driver and got six broken ribs and some other injuries. I delayed my purchase until last week and I ended up getting a great deal on a leftover, new 2013 by bidding on EBAY. The price - $7877 out the door, plus tax. I had to drive 200 miles to pick it up, but saved about $1000 over local dealers. Dealer is Track & Trail in State College, PA and I think they have one more left at $8300 "Buy it Now" price.

| Mounting the Honda Rear Rack |

The engineer responsible for designing the OEM Honda rear rack for the CB1100 is an evil, evil man. Installing that thing caused me to utter more expletives than one would hear in a Quentin Tarantino film with a script enhanced by David Mamet.
At one point I was using my groin to balance the rack, my left foot to twist in a bolt, and my daughter to apologize to the neighbors for my 100 decibel stream of invective.
But it's on now, and it looks pretty good. I have gone deep into a bottle of Sailor Jerry rum this evening, and things are looking up. Thank you for listening.

I'm leaving Treasure Island tomorrow morning... heading north through Palm Harbor then over towards Wesley Chapel. From there up toward Brooksville and then over and down to Port Richey and then south along the coast back to Treasure Island. This will be my first long ride on the '14. I have a whooping 120 miles on her now... which should double or maybe triple by the end of the day Sunday. I installed the NC Deflector Shield I took off my '13 today... it fit fine. Pictures and a ride report tomorrow night.

Well the title says it all I'm down for a few weeks as I got blind sided by a deer last night. I was lucky enough to walk away with bumps and bruises and some road rash plus a concussion. Thank god I had a helmet the darn deer head butted me in the head. Tore up the bike a little bit bent the bars into the tank and scratched up the left engine case along with some other minor things. I think I got pretty lucky. Keep your eyes open at night guys they come out of no where sometimes.

Who is going to Speedweek if anyone? I go every year and would love to meet anyone out there. Maybe a meet up at the Black & White?
And if you haven't ever been you have to go at least once!
I have a hard time believing out of all the people on this forum that no one is going or has heard of it. It's held at the Bonneville Salt Flats annually.
If you haven't been or heard of it, I really urge you to look into it. It's a bucket list item for any body who loves things with motors.
