Looking at dual sports and I've come upon of bit of an enigma. I have a few options, so I'm looking for opinions. I can:
1. Run tubeless rear and TUBE front of the same tire - i.e. Shinko 705s
2. Run tubeless rear and tubeless rear backwards for front tire - i.e. Pirelli M90A/T
3. Run mismatched tubeless tires - i.e. Pirelli MT90 rear, Pirelli MT60 RS front or Shinko 705 rear, Kenda K761 front.

I worry about tubeless for reliability. I worry about rears up front for handling. I worry about mismatches for handling and wear.

Would love to hear opinions.

Hello, I have the Givi rear rack in the pipeline, next in line with be a rear, top mounted luggage case/box.

I'm thinking about the 'Monokey' box from Givi, just looking at sizes. I may also include a backrest for the box, for the occasional passenger.

They have the 33 liter size that fits about one helmet, about 16" wide I think. In the past I would just use a backpack if I wanted to pick up a few items. I'm not really looking to pack up and hit the road with this. It's more for going to pick up a few oil filters, or other smaller items. I don't want an out of per portion larger box than needed.

For medium use, is that about the right size for the CB? I'm not home now but could do some measurements to see how sizes stack up. Just asking about others that may use that or a similar box.

Any other directions a guy should go with rear carry? Thanks

Just wanted to post a couple pics incase it helps anyone researching mirror options. I found these mirrors work far better than the originals on the freeway for seeing what is around me. You only need to replace the mirrors themselves, your original hardware is identical in size and the plastic boot covers the chrome hardware so the finished look is black.

First pic shows the two mirror styles. Stock chrome CB1100 on the left and stock black CB500F on the right. You can see the difference in height and width.

Before I start doing some longer rides this summer I am considering buying a throttle lock of some type for my CB1100. Has anyone had any success installing a Brakeaway cruise and how happy are you with it? I had installed an Audiovox unit on my ST1300 and I got to say it worked like a dream. I would go that route again but I don't think there is the room under the seat for a canister. I am little scared of a simple throttle lock but the Brakeaway seems a tad safer. Anyhow thanks for the input.

Perusing Craigslist I found 8 CB's for sale in the south. New and used with low miles. There is a red DLX in Shreveport LA with 1,650 miles for $8,999.

I'm considering installing the RS-3 slip on muffler. Has anyone had experience with this?

Our CB has had 2 fork seals and fork tube (same side), and both rotors.
The starter cover corroded under the clear coat. The rep wouldn't approve replacing it, but the dealer did on their own as a gesture of good will.
Now the valve cover is corroding. The rep won't approve this time either.
It's an expensive item plus the labor to replace. The dealer is sympathetic, but can't eat that much $$ and I agree. They are unhappy with the rep and want us to contact Honda customer service.
The dealer has been excellent to us and I would recommend them.

Ya I know NOT a Honda...

I want to thank everyone that has tried to help me with my attempt at posting pictures. I've written down the information you gave me, and I've tried several times. This technology is for those that are either smarter, or just grew up doing it. I really thought that I could eventually get it done, but I lack the patience and the background to just take stabs in the dark (it's virtually what I'm doing).
