A couple years back I found a pair of Icon leather bike gloves at our local bike dealership... what I really liked about these gloves was the tight fit, comfortable feel, fine quality, and great looks. They were selling for about $65 each. Well when I decided to buy another pair, I noticed that they were made in China, so I thought I'd see if they were available direct from China at Alibaba.com. Sure enough, they were, and still are... and you can buy them in single pair quantities for only $20/pair plus $18 for shipping. So each year or two I buy another pair. On my way home from a short 50 mile ride today I stopped in to my local pizza joint to grab a slice before heading home for a little get together and out of nowhere pulls in this beautiful ,what I believe, to be a F430 Spider. I'll probably give my stock seat on the 2013 standard CB1100 a few months of riding to see if I continue to like it, and after that I may upgrade the seat. There's a lot of positive comments about the K&H seats from Samurider, but has anyone tried the Daytona Cozy seats? I really like the look of the Daytona, and it's considerably less expensive than the K&H. Here's the link:

I've just added a new Dart Flyscreen to the CB1100 (2013 red) as well as removing the stock mirrors and adding the Hakofugu chrome mirrors. I know several of you went with the black ones but I am really digging the chrome. Plenty of rear vision with these pretty babies. I'll be putting the stock mirrors in the Want Ads as soon as i get my post count up to 25.




Also have Grab On Grip Covers over the stock grips, and I upgraded the headlight to a 100/55 watt halogen bulb to really increase nighttime visibility (me seeing them and them seeing me!). For now I'm staying with the stock exhaust... who would have thunk it, but after having loud Cobra pipes on my Kawasaki Vulcan 900, I'm really enjoying the quite purr of the CB1100.

I did my first "Milk Run" on the CB this morning. I woke up this morning to find no milk in the fridge for my morning cereal. The kids are home for the weekend, and all the food is gone so I jumped on the CB and headed to S.A. for some milk. I set the 1/2 gal of Land o Lakes on my lap and made it home without incident. The CB is by far the best way to get milk!

just wondering if anyone has wrapped their exhaust headers ,or have any views on doing this. I am thinking of doing this as I hate trying to keep them clean .

Just bought a CB1100 it had 287 miles on it when I got it, it's booked in for its first service when it will have just over 600 miles on it. Can anyone help me with the correct running in procedure after its 600 mile service.

I/ve looked thru the shop manual but cannot find any reference to raising or lowering the shifter lever. Is it possible to raise the lever? I installed a different peg and feel I could shift better if the lever was higher. I noticed there is a connecting rod which is threaded on both ends but cannot readily see where the lower end attaches. If that is the adjustment for lever height, does the rod need to be lengthened or shortened by adjusting the nuts on the rod itself? Also, if adjustable, how much can it be adjusted?
